New AP 26240 with 4401 Super Clone movement is coming

How come you waited 5 months? Just wondering. 26240s are coming out quite quickly from my TD, Andiot. He had some in hand already so I literally waited one day for QC. Perhaps modifications?

I scratched the bezel, is there anything I can do to fix it ?

If you do not want to scratch your watch then do not wear it. Its an AP so it will get scratched and dinged. Just wait until you have many more scratches and then perhaps get your watch serviced or modded and then you can have it refinished at the same time.

To fix just one scratch is a waste of time

Since that is par with no hair line. I think Using cape cod will prob fix most problem.

Just remember to use making tapes to cover the edge. Using polishing garments on edge will smooth the razor sharp vesel edge. (Which is a disaster)

IF it’s a steel watch that is. I can’t tell for certain whether it’s steel or rose gold based on the picture lighting. Cape cod on any plated surface will be a no go from my experience.

Looks like (yellow) gold to me, so it is plated then and cape cod will for sure remove the plating.

I just assumed it was SS. If it's gold plated then ya there is nothing you can do.

Recommending someone use Cape Cod should be done after some vetting as they may easily make things much worse if attempting to fix the scratch themselves with CC or any other method.

Some indications on how to know where you stand is that if you cam out your strap or caseback screws, you let the screwdriver or springbar compression tool slip and scratch the case, you scratch the backside of the lugs with the springbars like on so many poor Rolex, you dent the caseback notches using incorrect spanner wrench inserts, and so on, then you really have no business polishing a watch or doing any other watch repair or maintenance.

Scratches are a normal part of life and improve the look of the watch in my opinion, so just let it happen and by the time it's scratced up bad enough to warrant a service and refurbishing you can just buy a new rep of the same watch and start fresh

If that's gold-plated, which I believe it is, than anything you do will just make it worse. Is the base metal showing through? The only option would be to send it out and have it replated, but that is going to end up costing you almost as much as buying a new watch

Thanks so much for all your advice, everyone, really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. It is indeed gold, so I guess there’s not much I can do about it now. I completely agree with you that scratches are part of a watch’s life and add to its character over time. I actually love my Sub even more because of all its tiny marks and dings, they tell a story.

I guess I just wasn’t quite ready to see that happen on my AP so soon. It’ll probably take me a bit to get used to it, but I know I’ll come to appreciate those marks too. I’ll definitely be more careful from now on! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and helping me feel better about it.

Dial is fine. The reason he's making fun of you is because this is a $1.1 million dollar one of one piece unique from AP. You and I can nitpick details about dial or whatever but at the end of the day, it shouldn't be taken so seriously about this piece. When you wear it and if someone knows what this watch is, you are screwed anyways unless you're a billionaire.

For me, I see that the dial lacks the subtle "linen" effect (brushed lines vertically)

I am aware of its rarity; to me, it's a fun watch, and I know I will never cross paths with someone who knows that it's a one-of-a-kind release. This watch is no different from all the other RM watches people buy here.
