chrono is fully reset, i have tried repeatedly resetting, softly, and with more force the bottom button, it resets each time, but each time it is continuing. I will see what PT comes back with for a solution to fix. Thanks all for input/feedback.
My Longines rep with an A7751 chrono (non flyback) movement has got the same issue after a repair service. I can live with it.chrono is fully reset, i have tried repeatedly resetting, softly, and with more force the bottom button, it resets each time, but each time it is continuing. First report of a movement issue, thanks for sharing, and quite unfortunate. Hope you get it resolved. This is not an inexpensive rep, and I at least expect it to work as expected from new. It will get sorted, just frustrating as it will take a while.
I took a time lapse for those interested, if your waiting on an order, it's useful to be aware of.

But a problem @legend says also is an issue with gen 26240s (and which he warned about back in December ‘24). Take the good with the bad when you clone a design (even partially), I guess.First report of a movement issue, thanks for sharing, and quite unfortunate. Hope you get it resolved.
No sir I won’t be dismantling the gen movements as they are both under warranty.
But from what I see, the rep movements already look a lot rougher in the finishing from pics. I think this will be confirmed in real life.
One thing though: I haven’t seen a rep 26240 with the classic issue many gens have: that the subdial hand @9 would randomly tick a second or two to the right due to the hand brake not working like it should. This is a well known issue of the 4401 and 4404 calibers and AP has been silently rectifying this issue, with a lot of embarrassment as I can imagine.
So in this aspect the rep movement seems to be superior to the gen, though it may be simply because it’s something not seen in the rep clone caliber yet.
It's the first rep I saw have this problemBut a problem @legend says also is an issue with gen 26240s (and which he warned about back in December ‘24). Take the good with the bad when you clone a design (even partially), I guess.
Other than plating - I think it's fine stock. Some people like Deep. Me I think it is fine without it. Not super necessary. And maybe a softening of bracelet if yours is super sharp like mine.So I finally took the plunge and ordered 3 26240s to try out the other day, they include:
For current owners of the 26240, are there any "must have" mods for these, or are they good to go out of the box?
- Stainless steel green dial
- Yellow gold gradient dial
- Rose gold brown dial (with rose gold subdials)
Perfect, I'd already paid to have the PM models wrapped, so they should be fine as is. I'm not a fan of super clear xtals, and from the pics I've seen on here, the xal looks fine, so I'll probably keep that stock. It's the first rep I saw have this problem

Usually I don't really care too much about hyper sharp bracelets but for some reason, maybe it's integrated design or the way the links are on AP, if it's sharp, it really does hurt the on wrist experience.Perfect, I'd already paid to have the PM models wrapped, so they should be fine as is. Good call on the bracelet, it's something I always forget about as I am not as avid a collector of AP (I always end up selling them), hopefully that will change after this order!
That's not a 26240.do you know where I can get one like this here?
Buddy. Suggest you do an introduction post in the New Members Area and begin your journey. Its apparently a 26331
The issue with the gen is slightly different. The hand brake for the subdial hand@9 is weak and this causes the hand to creep 0.5-1” clockwise. But it does not continue to creep continuously clockwise like the video depicted. But a problem @legend says also is an issue with gen 26240s (and which he warned about back in December ‘24). The rep factory went the extra mile to replicate that issue and give the buyers as close as possible to gen experience and people are still not happyI’m surprised to see this somewhat similar issue in the rep, and I hope it’s a one off.
