New AP 26240 with 4401 Super Clone movement is coming

Curious if it’s possible to comment on the quality of the movement. My main question is if it feels safe to operate the chronograph? Would be happy to service the movement and I don’t plan to use it like a fidget toy but would like to run it from time to time.

Considering what I have read regarding it not being recommended to use the chrono function on the gen, I would say that using the chrono's on this newly repped clone movement would be a game of russian roulette.

The easiest way is to reach out to your dealer and get him to replace it. They are working on a better bracelet.

And what I've hear is the factory do not fix or switch new ceramic parts for you and you think AD will resolve this for you? Maybe they'll ask you get new one.

From surveying gen owners it seems like most of the issues were to do with the chronograph brake. AP released a silent fix for it at some point and the issue is relatively resolved. I guess we don’t know if the movement that was cloned had the fix implemented. Regardless if it’s the original then the issue can show up using the chronograph or not.

All standard disclaimers about small sample size apply. Possible there is a prevalent issue that none of the < 15 gen owners i talked to had encountered!
