@legend in your opinion, do you notice any aesthetic difference in how the gen ceramic appears on wrist vs ss? I’m curious if the black ceramic has any effect of appearing slightly smaller on wrist compared to the ss, simply due to color, aside from differences in fit which you explained previously

I’ve only had a ceramic 45mm Hublot. But the shape and proportions weren’t dissimilar to an AP. Purely anecdotally it wore smaller than the size would suggest due to the seeming “thickness” of the ceramic construction. Even if the numbers didn’t suggest!

I completely understand. I have a v6 hbb all black 2. It certainly appears smaller than the 44m spec. I’ve never owned the ss hbb so I have no idea if that’s just the watch or if the color and material make any difference. I’ve recently found that watches a bit smaller fit and look better on my wrist. I’m planning on ordering one of these but still deciding between ceramic or an ss model and I’d like it to not make my wrist look noodleish lol

Guys

I’m happy to answer your questions as I see it as natural curiosity. Please kindly allow me to answer it in 2 parts

1. From the pics I think the rep 26240CE looks pretty good. I like it myself. Of course there are small flaws but I don’t wish to magnify them disproportionately just because I have the gen.

2. I will be receiving 3 samples of the clone 26240CE ordered by members here and which will be sent to me for modding and service. I will be sending them comparo pics of the gen vs rep and my notes for their reference. If one of them wishes, he can post the pics and make the comparisons public for everyone to learn.

For what it’s worth at this moment, I think APSF did a very good job and I’m happy with the release. It is not 1:1 but it is accurate where it matters.
Thank you very much;-)

Your IQ is zero.. lol keep topics like that.
You know sir, low IQ is when you’re specifically told what NOT to do and then doing it anyway. You’ll take a time out from this thread.
If you’re so smart, I’m sure you understand that this thread will be better without you.
Bye for now.

Legend has forgotten more about watches than most know….or think they know.

For me it’s ceramic first. I like the fact that the all ceramic sets it out from most of the other Chronos on the market!

The ceramic is definitely intriguing to me. I also love a nice ss blue dial so I’m anxiously waiting to see that too

Guys

He has already been banned from the thread. Please disengage yourselves accordingly, and conduct yourselves as gentlemen.
There is no need to act or retaliate at his level. Kindly get back on topic, thanks fellas. Feel free to report him if he hassles either of you on another thread.

@legend. In your vast experience of working with watches, is there a specific tool you would recommend over others for sizing the ceramic bracelet?

Im a buy once, cry once type of guy. So ideally whichever tool you recommend, price wouldn't be a top consideration.

Thanks brother.
When I collected my ceramic 26240CE, the guy who resized my bracelet was actually a service center staff, brought to the boutique specially for this purpose. The boutique staff told me that the regular people who resizes the steel and titanium bracelets typically defer the resizing of ceramic watches to people with more skills or experience.

So what I will say is this: do as you will do with steel bracelet resizing (same tools and all) but exercise a lot more patience and caution please.

Aesthetic difference? They are completely different sir. The color and material both play salient roles in establishing both as separate and distinct watches. They are exactly the same size, though the ceramic model wears lighter. Any feeling of the ceramic model wearing smaller is a matter of subjective perception sir.

@legend are you looking forward to purchasing one of these reps and fully opening it to see all the gears and pieces used in it ?
