So much speculation in the latest posts... some of you guys do have a lot of information, apparently.... I just want to know how to fix the autowinding problem, I have that issue too with my APs 🥲
Service the movement and get a 22K or plated Tungsten rotor?

I think all we can do is install a heavier rotor for that. I rotate my watches a lot so end up needing to set the time when I want to wear one anyway, so I give it a good 20 winds or so when I do that.

BTW, does anyone know, if it is possible to get a gold plated CNC tungsten rotor? I have seen at least one gen company that says it chose a plated tungsten rotor, which they said is close to gold, but not as good as platinum, and I would think it would be much less expensive than a solid 22K rotor with close to the same mass.

I think someone like popup or xing Patrick could do it. No clue about cost. What do you feel would be reasonable?

I don’t know. I got a cost for 22k of between $1,000 and $1,200. I don’t know how much of that is crafting vs. metal. I would hope in the $200 range. Tungsten is $.81 per oz instead of $3,000 per oz.

I agree. I wonder if this is indicative of pricing For a tungsten carbide custom rotor (this is for a NH35, but I am not sure the watch it is cast for makes a big difference.

That's a pretty basic rotor design. Material cost isn't much, but the precision needed, and designing the rotor / time would be where the additional expenses would come from.

I asked TWM if they can do it, since I orderd a 26240 from them. I will see what they say.

As I've said, they could do 22k rose gold, but paying more for a rotor than a watch (that I have not even tried yet) seemed like a bad use of funds.
