Got my QC-pictures today for a blue dial. They have updated the bad rotor engraving, but I had to RL due to a very crooked 3 o'clock marker... 😭was told that the wait for a new one is indefinite.

Yes but what a miserable life
IMHO success cannot be measured solely by financial earnings. Brands like Rolex and Patek Philippe, or the production differences between Porsche and Ferrari, demonstrate that true success also includes craftsmanship, tradition, quality and exclusivity. Just my 2 cents

Is it due to Gen being a 6 figure $$ watch? I’ve also thought about this as I didn’t realize until after I ordered it that the Gen version is WG and not SS.

I loved it when i saw pics of the purple dial and in person it’s every bit as amazing if not more so.

Now I can’t get it off my wrist and will continue to wear it regardless! I say get it if you love it. Will be worth it even if you’re just wearing at home or secretly meeting with @Markaplan in a hotel 🤣
If you’re so inclined to “meet” someone at a hotel, there’s this newbie who wanna go to Argentina and he fantasizes about being kidnapped to a dungeon.

I forgot his name… blahblahblah or Warwick or so… can’t remember.

So maybe you can figure out which hotel he’ll be staying then … tck “stab bum” him or so.

I would just take it, you can always fix a crooked marker if it looks terrible in person. You have to understand these photos are zoomed in and if its a fraction off there is really nothing to worry about IRL. New QC are not easy to get and you will likely get someone elses RL

So there’s already a v2 in the new batch?
Can you show the rotor? Are you talking about the font?)

I also noted my rotor looked decent, but I honestly do not care that much about it and took the QC as everything else looked good. I would definitely not say a V2, it could just be they used a new mold after wearing out the original one.

I can't live with crooked markers on a dial, and I'm not really willing to send a new watch to a watchmaker to get it fixed. Yes, I know it's reps and I know it's zoomed in, but you will see it also with bare eyes. What's it worth to buy high quality reps with fancy clone movements, if the crooked dial markers scream "fake".... I've been in this hobby for almost 20 years, but having straight marker on the dial is essential to me and can be expected even with reps.

Could you post one pics of the dial please?

So they saw my relentless bitching about the rotor font and fixed it.

Hope they saw my nonstop bitching about the black ceramic breaking flaw that they’ll fix that too.

Thanks for the photos. Hoping that rotor is in in my watch. It looks much better.

I believe it is true for AP, but not PP. Look at Vacheron, it is alive without having had an iconic model
Well Vacheron is not independent. It was so successful at being bland , forgettable and boring that it got sold to a luxury conglomerate.

Even for reps I struggle to the value of dropping $500 on a VC. Imagine what gen owners feel like. They buy Overseas when they got turned down for a Nautilus and Royal Oak.

I share the same sentiment. For a watch that is already near $800, I do not want to have to send it to someone and pay 100-200 for them to realign the dial markers, if they are even capable of such a thing. I once sent an offshore to have this done, and it returned with the same damn crooked 3, and the rotor was loose on top of that.

These days I refuse to send my watches out to be modded. If I want a modded watch, I will order it that way and make sure the qc looks right before it’s shipped to me.

Was a long time ago, don’t think they are around anymore. I will say, I got flat out scammed by c and W ap workshop. They packed up and disappeared with peoples watches and money. It made me quit Rwi and reps entirely from 2019 until just recently when I got curious again and found my way back.

Seems to be a common thing with trusted orders. They start off doing good work, fall behind, don’t want to issue refunds so they just scam and run.
