Hello friends!

after many months of work, hundreds of hours in 3d planning, my 16710/16570 GMT case set is finally finished!

I think the case turned out beautifully, but I have to keep a cool head to measure and measure and document everything now.

I'll do a proper review later, with better photos.

Here are the first photos:

With gen bezel insert and gen 78790A bracelet:

what a beauty! Subscribed to see more updates! I have a GMT project coming up soon. Will your case come with engravings between lugs?

Thanks

Good morning guys!

So today I have checked everything and to be honest I am happy with the results..

What will be included the set:
- midcase / case back
- 532 tube / 602 crown (no logo)
- bezel assembly
- 2mm spring bars
- gaskets

The set will be delivered assembled.. all parts fitting well together.. bezel turns very smooth, may be too smooth (if so you can bend the washer ring little bit to get more friction).

Measurements:

Lugs:

what to say, I am happy with the lugs shape.

Italian 501b endlinks sitting perfect between with no any tolerance.

Gen 78790A solid endlinks have 0,2mm air to the case, but it is not tragical - the lugs sitting well and it looks good:

Like always we have little issues it the first batch.
The hole between the crown guards should be 7mm, but it was made 6,3mm. It is not tragical, but it makes the CGs optic slightly chunky.

Case back is 0,2mm too less thickness, but the main problem is, that the Rolex opener tool is not fit on the case back teeth. It is possible to get close with the ball 🎱 or universal case back opener tool. It seems, I have to order new casebacks and send them to the customers after I have it.

first Franken is also already done.. it was very important to see how the gen parts fitting to the case - ne problems recognised here.

Part list:
Gen:
- dial
- date disc
- hands
- crystal / gasket 295c
- bezel insert
- crown 604
- bracelet 78790A

OC Parts
- midcase
- bezel assembly

Movement

Tube has to be sanded ca 0,5mm, bcs 533 tube is shorter a little bit.

Looking great . CG a bit fat compared to gen ?
Yes these have a minimal chunky look bcs the opening between them, where the crown is placed, is little bit smaller as it should be.
