New 5512 / 5513 build and wso Bezel

I like the white . Do you think the tiger concept merceds hands are good for this dial ??

The Tiger Concept hands look wrong to me, but I am not an expert.

What movement are you using in your build?

Personally, I am using a low beat ETA 2846 movement and a combination of Clarks ETA hour and minute hands and a RafflesTime seconds hand, because I don't like the seconds hand that comes with the Clarks set (the tail end between the mounting hole and the ball at the end is too short).

Unfortunately, it looks like Clarks (seller Nostalgia-2000 on ebay) is currently out of the silver ETA mercedes hands, but this is what the gold version looks like:





Another option would be RafflesDials ETA hands, which look like this:




I think the RafflesTime and RafflesDials ETA hands are probably the same, because I just noticed that the product listing on RafflesDials (link below) is actually using the same picture (with a RafflesTime watermark) from the RafflesTime website (link also below)

Thank you ! so the HR hands are not a choise ?

I have no problem use a dg2813 and eta or an old eta 18000 bpm .It's the same i used in my last 1016 build and eta 2451.
In the 2451 i used eta hands from raffles you can see picture in this forum of my build.

So now i tried to assemble all with the stock dial and hands.
I brushed lugs and i make them more slim .
I sanded the insert so it is recessed and i tried to finish the teeths of the bezel .

This is the final result.




So i think i will go with a helenarou dial but i dont' know if the white one ,the light aged or the vintage one .
I will ask for pigment so i can relume the hands.

I will try the raffles hands that are the same i used for my 1016 .

the problem right now are:

- The bezel is turning free .I tried to fix it but i no like how it work
- The insert is not a good quality
- The crown 24-700 is out of stock .Can the 24-702 correct from ataya?

What's the best bracelet of steel to buy ?
Is a perlon bracelet good for a vintage watch?

Remove the bezel ring, take the bezel assembly washer (thin metal ring) and make small bends of about 20° in the ring, 3 or 4 of them, re-assemble the bezel assembly.

There's plenty of aftermarket 4 digit inserts on eBay, or milk051506 makes better quality inserts.

You can use a 702 crown, Yuki sells the best value for money 93150 bracelet, but he's been out of stock for a while.

I hope this thread can help more people making a good 5513 by himself.

I see more than one 5512/5513 that have a not so bubbled glass .What's the reference for a non domed glass?
I don't know if i like the domed effect of this glass.

You need a T19 crystal - SuperDome, Dome or service crystal (almost no dome).

It seems that the sternkreus is not a service glass but the domed version.

Only orignal service parts are available for non dome version,right?

Did you already age the dial spots.. they seem to be a little bit more sand Couleur like.. how did you do that?

I would say it is a service dome. When i figure out how to, I will post some pictures.

I spent other time slimming the lugs and reworking the bezel .
Now it looks more real at my eyes .

I will try a flat glass . I don't like the super dome !
