The Kevlar straps are very long because they are meant to go over a diving suit rather than being sized for everyday use.

I wasn't referring to length, I was referring to width, thickness and the size of the buckle. It is a monster strap.

Hi guys. I'm *this* close to ordering a KW 382. Anyone wanna try and talk me off the ledge? Do I need to wait and see more of the new ZF v2 or is the general (preliminary) consensus that the KW is still the clear winner? I'd just hate to get the KW and then be kicking myself in a few weeks when the ZF v2 come out.

Any thoughts?

I have the KW382 and love it! I can't speak for the new ZF version, however I also own a ZF Pam389 and the quality just sucks... The strap was terrible and I had to purchase a new one from Panatime, the bezel alignment was off also and I was not impressed at all with it. For me, I wouldn't purchase another ZF after this experience, however there is always room for improvements and hopefully they have finally come around. Also, I know that the KW version had the patina effect already, read up on PAm382 on the forums and you will see. Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing your experiences! Yes, I plan on dunking mine in Liver of Sulphur as soon as the wrapper comes off. This is the look I'm going for.

Preliminary photos that I saw on the PT website showed hands with vastly different lume colors vs the dial. If I may ask, how did they look in your QC photos?

same as V1 but in person looks better even KW is not gen like IMO and the hands lime is lighter

Can you post the QC photos of the z factory v2? I am about to pull the trigger and would like to see the improvements. Any word from the dealer if the bezel will be tightened?

Angus says on his web site that the photos show just the prototype not the final v2. Perhaps we will see more than just a movement appearance difference. I am hoping at the very least they tighten up that bezel. I was about to buy the kuvarsit v1 but changed my mind due to the superior brushed case work from the z factory as well as that fantastic Kevlar strap the v2 comes with. Anyway still time to change my mind if the v2 qc photos look poor. Let's see them!

Well, the finish on the case looks nice, but I see no significant improvement with the movement. And the discrepancy between the hand and marker lume is concerning.

Once it come in hand I will compare both versions from what I read and seen the mechanics of the bezel finish and the movement upgrade we shall see

Well.....I am pulling the trigger. I ordered this v2 with deployment AND ordered a malio brown strap. Just my luck kuvarsit will announce a v2 that blows this one away.
