The 2836 is nicer.

What you mean nicer?

It looks better or works better?

Is it more reliable and shockproof than 4813?

If there is only difference in how they look for me it makes no sence to pay almost twice higher price for watch with 2836

What is the difference between 2836 clone and 4813 clone? Is this second good too? 28800bph gives move of the seconds like in the gen. What is your opinion?

Do you know at what rate(bph) the Gen 8500 runs?

Most of the DG(4813) rotors were a bit noisy to me.

The DG x813 movements are also much harder to regulate than the x836s whether clone or Swiss and, in my experience, show a wider variance in timekeeping on the wrist.

Oh and also don't forget the slower date change at midnight (not exactly a deal breaker admittedly!).

I believe the gen 8500 runs at around 25k bpm. They lowered the bpm from the standard 28k in order to get it to run reliably with the new Si14 silicon hairspring. (at least thats how my AD explained it). I should get this down exactly as I just picked up a gen PO XL 8500 on Sunday as a law school grad present and am absolutely in love.

I had been thinking about getting one of the new POCr Reps, but I got a great deal through an AD and was able to get the gen. I'll come back and post some pictures once I get my camera charged up.

So is the paint on the insert prone to be scratched/rubbed off?

Also, does this version use the same bracelet as the regular PO or has it been improved?

I gave up on po's a long time ago due the the poor quality of the bracelet/clasp

So no problems getting the clasp locked and closed on the "pin" it connects to?

I remember always having to make sure to squeeze the buttons on the side and mashing it down on the pin before letting go. Eventually it stopped grabbing the pin and I couldn't lock it in place.
Taking/adding links was a pain too.

What about the crown/tube stripping issue? Still there?

Clasp works like a charm and secures perfect.

Removing/adding links is a piece of cake, it just takes a few seconds.

No issues at crown/tube also, butter smooth function.

All these info come from my experience with the 42mm version.

Bracelet and clasp are fine on my 45.5 black crpo (orng 12/6/9). Exchanging emails with my dealer about the faded print on the bezel at the moment.

Hoping to get a replacement bezel and will then use clear coat/matt to protect it (after testing on my current dodgy bezel).

For the movement/AR sapphire/look/feel - I have no regrets on the purchase !

Need to start work now on the wife to lay the foundation for the next purchase for father's day 2014

My 45mm with orange bezel arrived today. First problem was with the movement. Rotor didn't turn. Opened it up and removed the rotor and found an extraneous screw underneath. Movement certainly does not look new, all the screw heads show damage. Now that the screw is gone is functioning but the rotor seems rather loud to me, probably needs lubrication.
My Aqua Terra with same movement actually works, but it has the same problem, loud rattling rotor and the screw heads are all chewed up.
Also turning the crown when setting time is rough.

This certainly is my last Swiss movement from BP.
But CrPO can be had with Asian, so I might get the orange 42mm one eventually.

I had a similar problem with my 42 CrPO. The rotor didn't turn when caseback was installed. Had to dremel the rotor edges, but it still is not rotating properly, seems like it is touching some movement parts below. Hoping for a new rotor from TD.

Does anyone know what kind of movement would be a direct drop-in for the 42mm CrPO?

AR is as it has been on all the 45mm versions of this rep, single sided and less than impressive.

Pearl on mine is high and not seated squarely. Lume overflows the edges.

Dial alignment seems to be just a bit off.

Have you tried checking the case clamp screws on the movement / ring. If they are not fully screwed down correctly they can foul on the rotor.

Yes, the case clamps seem to be completely tightened. There was no more gap/space to push the movement closer to the crystal, so to speak.

Does anyone know what the "8500" movement in these actually are?

They are refurbished Swiss ETA. If I can make a guess, 1 in a 10 actually works without any problems.
You can change it for an ETA clone, like Seagull ST2130, which is a nice movement.

I see now a asian clone 2836 movt is listed on a non TD's site - can anyone confirm that the CrPO 45mm is now coming with (a hopefully more reliable) clone movt ?

More reliable? Why, what was the problem with the "swiss" ones?
