Ahh, it has been a while since I have really done a lot of buying/selling there. Now it is just once in a while that I buy so I totally missed out on this.

But they can give Unpaid Strikes. Once in a while you'll find an auction that won't allow you to bid because of it, but for the most part it's just a slap on the wrist that goes away after a year I think.

I think it's a good idea... before people where frightened to leave a negative for an Item knowing the seller will hit them back with a neg in revenge.

I sell a lot on eBay (over 40,000 items to date) and not being able to neg a buyer has made the whole feedback system worthless. Buyers bid and don’t pay, break items then claim it is crap, don’t read listings, don’t follow terms, leave negative feedback for having to pay customs duties, or because there was a strike and Canada Post didn’t deliver their parcel on time, or just because they were in a bad mood that day (really), or were too lazy to contact the seller first (really), or bid and then use feedback extortion to try and get free shipping or some amount off.... although eBay is finally dealing with the last issue. Don’t get me wrong, I also buy a lot on eBay too. But only the sellers know how truly one sided it is. This is also why so many dealers for watches no longer take PayPal (owned by eBay). No recourse for sellers.

The Bezel looks gen but hard to tell from the photo...

I say pay with PayPal and then you are covered if it isnt and can file a dispute (you will also get the shipping back too). And remind the seller that his DSR's are more important than feedback these days so he may want to ease off the shipping charges to avoid a 1 star on shipping cost. If his score goes too low he can no longer sell on eBay.

I think it's clear from the pics and watches you've posted in the last few weeks that you're not afraid to spend money. I just don't understand the mentality of buying before you know for sure it's what you want.

I do the same; picked up a gen helium valve on ebay new in packaging for a seadweller ($50 USD) and no way I was gonna let anyone know about it till it was mine...
