Need help (advice) : Buying pam 372. Should i take it with plexy or sapphire crystal

a few days ago i already get the watch, and i choose the sapphire.
but now i send it back to Toro, to exchange with the plexy.
why ?
it turn out that the sapphire has totally different shape from the plexy.
the plexy shape is raise up from the bezel then goes flat to the side.
while the sapphire is only a bit raise up then goes dome up (more like pam 127 aka fiddy) if you understand what i mean.
and it make the looks and the reflection on the crystal is totally different between the plexy (per gen) and the sapphire.
and i can say that Toro is wonderful, he accepted my reason to change back to the plexy one.
now im still waiting for my watch arrived to Toro then wait again for him send the plexy one to me.
one advice, don't try to choose the sapphire if you want 372 that same as gen.

If you want a watch that looks similar to the 372, which is gen-like but with a sapphire crystal get a 422! :wink:

unfortunately there is no "super rep" of the 422 available.
I believe the 372 is not a Super Rep either. If I recall correctly the most accurate dial is from Noob but this one doesn't bring the clone movement.

yes you're right, but for 422 there is no rep with a sapphire crystal available and also no "superclone" movement afaik
I want to tell you that my Pam 372 is super clear Plexi Glass,
and I never raised thev issue of the reflections on the glass.

To tell you the truth...i have the 372 gen. I just want to replace it with the rep so i can use the budget for buying another gen watch that not as easy as panerai to replicate. I choose the sapphire only because i tought it will be more scratch proof.
and i can tell you that the last 372 from zf (o series) is more acurate than noob. Noob still wrong at the cnon pinion being to big than the gen.
but the newest zf is totally nail it to the gen. This is a super rep ! Believe me.

Quite interesting. I believe this might be very important to adjust the rep status of the 372 ZF.

My first reply was from the mobile. Now in the computer I can better evaluate the photos.
There are clear differences between your Gen and you ZF Rep:
- thickness of the numerals and indices;
- depth of engraving in the case (between lugs) and crown guard;
- different finishing (color?) of the hands;
- different color on the "LUMINOR PANERAI".
If you never had the Genuine in your hand, the Rep looks fine. But there are clear differences for someone looking side-by-side.
you could say the same about any of our super reps. This is by far the best comparison of the 372 and it looks way better than the noob. Also great to see how good the superclone movement looks side by side. Rep points to OP!

Regarding if it should be considered a Super Rep or not, I am no expert. But the thickness of the numerals is an immediate give away that you won't find in other Super Reps.

How far off is the crown guard from the gen. what is the tell signs that are obvious to the paneristi from noticing ? Someone help me out here. have the Noob. Curious to know. My opinion is the shine different ? Is the edge too sharp on the Rep?
For me its perfect enough. From the front i guess its the LUMINOR PANERAI engraving on the dial is not as deep as gen, the color might be a little off too. However its hardly noticeable. I used to have the noob then bought the gen cause i like it so much.
