...I’m totally doing this on my gf blue dial...
neon_7 only thing is have never taken off hands or a dial and that has me way more nervous than taking out the gears and building up datewheel..
..man, one last question.. any specific “watch-tool-kit” you’d recommend in order to get the right small-sized screwdriver bits to work on movement?

thanks for all your input man!!

Yeah my GF blue dial is next on the list of navitimers to do this to. Just need to find another quiet afternoon on the weekend to get it done.

For tool kit, there’s not one kit that has everything. But for screwdrivers, I’d recommend investing in a quality set of either Bergeon or Horotec screwdrivers if you plan on doing mods as a hobby for other watches.

To open the case clamps you’ll use the 1.4mm and then once you’re in the area of gears, you’ll need a 0.8- 1mm. (All flatheads)

A crystal gasket of the correct height and diameter would be useful to act as a spacer, if you sacrifice the 3 o'clock chrono.

Ah yes the JF Navitimer, one of the best "B01" reps with the almost perfect dial. I had one just like yours but the sunken date made me sell it. Yours looks great!
