That's too bad, but like others have said, the V2 really fell off quality wise. I can see where sales have fallen off, as the later ones are definitely not as good as the earlier ones. I have an early RG and Blue dial, and I really like both of them. Never bought the SS version as I have way too many SS black dial watches.
The biggest problem with these is the total lack of replacement parts. I scratched the crystal on my RG and searched for a replacement for months to no avail. Since noob won't sell parts, if you break something external like the crystal, insert or strip the crown, I'm afraid that you are out of luck.

from pics i've seen, it looks likes the rg/blue are part of the ''later series'', i say this because the font on the bezel of all the ''newer'' product seems to all be similar...even the proportion of how everything is laid out is slightly different from the first release..look at the distance of the numbers in relative to the center circle, very slight, but none the less, present...i own the ss ''first batch'' and am contemplating a blue variant..the ''later series'', seems to be good otb reps on their own right in terms of build quality, the small details are what put the original over the top...the ss first batch shares very very similar reflection angles to the gen...moreover, as far as replacement parts are concerned, for the first batch, i'd just buy oem replacement parts from an ad, still much much cheaper than the gen...panerai153, i saw your review for the oem strap, i believe it changes the feel of the rep by miles...after trying on a gen, the oem strap on the rep makes it feel that much more accurate...

From what I have read and researched, the V2 (later series) didn't come out until mid year last year. the first comparison post here was in July. My Rose Gold was purchased in late 2014, and my Blue Dial was purchased in January of 2015. So while there may be some difference's, these were from the first BP FF's. IN fact, I'm not even sure there was ever a V2 of the RG and blue dial.
AFA the straps, I do like the gen strap, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure there is a 300 USD difference. It is a little softer and definitely better quality. But It's not as glaring as the difference in rep and genuine straps on say some of the AP ROO models with their fake hornback Alligator.

So basically the bezel is different in the later batches? Because I can't really spot the difference.

I wonder if anyone bought SS version within last 3-4 months. Would be interesting to see the quality

To me the color is not the only difference...if you look you'll see other subtle differences, nevertheless, whatever version, it is still a very high quality otb rep..

Main concerns I had about the later batches when I did the comparsion was: font and color of bezelmarkers and mainly the double radius domed sapphire crystal which is perfect on the first batch and very worse on the second compared between them.

So this basically means that only the first batch in ss doesn't have the fat 5 / different font color and different crystal. Because even the pictures on the TD sites of the rg and blue version have the fat 5 and the different crystal.
