My watches were seized by german customs!

You scare me people,i just sent all of my gen parts for asseble to Uwe... I hope i dont get that unlucky...

German customs are notorious not for seizing watches, but for watches that has LEATHER strap or any kind of leather in the package.

Any of the watches had leather straps... They were in rubber for thr Hublot and SS for the AP...

theres definately some funny stuff going on with german customs. I sold a panerai to a fellow member here and german custom intercepted the package, they didnt seize it but however did decide to charge a crazy customs fee. The member decided to refuse the package due to the fees and it was supposed to be shipped back to me but i havent recieved anything back and its been almost 2 months.

i guess some german customs agent is sporting a pretty nice pam 002...lol

Yes joegrimm, I had that info from FEDEX agent too... They were goingo to send back the watchesnto sender, then they told me that the customs will charge some tax, and the result was this... Undeliverable package is the status on FEDEX tracking...

Customs officers are only doing their jobs.

It is like knowing the speed limit, speeding anyway and then getting mad at the cop who catches you and writes a ticket.

It is just a risk which once in a while comes true. No one is to blame.

If their work was being done properly, OUR watches won't be found on THEIR wrists... And that is well known too...
If they record a video showin the watches bein smashed, and showing their happy faces laughing at you, and send to sender address... then I would believe they are doing their job! LOL...

Wow that's scary. I was 100% going to have my next watches shipped directly to UWE for modding before coming to me. I guess when I do that I'll have to have them shipped directly to UWE from a EU based dealer.

Who was your dealer? Were they seized BEFORE or AFTER he did the mods? If you used a trusted dealer from the boards, you'll get them resent no problem.

The watches never reached him... My dealer sent them on june 8th and on june 10th it was in customs hands... What I will do now is ask the dealer to send to me, then I take off just the glasses and send to Uwe. The pitty now is that I will not send even the dial only for the relume job, because the inscriptions of the brand on it...

The problem here in germany is that the customs don´t want to be stultify.
That´s the first time that they seized me a package but if you send a 500 gram package from china and declare it as a usb cable....that´s negligently

Yes, that was a HUGE mistake done by the dealer... I couldn't believe this when I knew what he had it declared on the package!
This CERTAINLY helped A LOT to make such a thing happen...

Even the nicest custom agent wouldn't let this pass through...
It is the same than call him idiot and laugh on his face...
