Here is another bleached jkf insert with an Aythaya bezel pip on my gen dialed blue 7021. In some light the older snowflakes look black. In daylight they are a beautiful blue with grey. The blueish tone of the bleached jkf is a perfect match and is very gen like.

And here is blue next to black. The black insert is gen. Neither of these cases are jkf. The black 9411 is a vietnam maker and the blue is a Phong.

Hi mate,
Love your blue dial Snowflake.

Apology for a noob query. Who is jkf and where can you get this particular bezel insert?
Did you lightly sand the bezel insert before the bleaching?

Thanks in advance.

JK factory is the maker of these subs and they are available from several trusted dealers here.

I have yet to find the inserts available seperately.

Bleach only with constant supervision. Very short times and check. 4-5 minutes each time until it reaches the desired color.

Thanks for the explanation about the watch case and your bleaching process.

I bleached a black JK/cartel insert last week, I did 50/50 bleach to water for five minutes and got a nice, even faded but still black finish. If I ever get far enough along on this project I'll eventually have some photos to post :whistling:
