Looks like the jk factory vintage Tudor. Its a good place to start. The case bevels are a bit wide but the cg's have plenty of length and meat to mod well. The case backbis not 1-1 with gen. The case will take gen plexi and insert. So it has gen style bezel construction as well as O ring between case and bezel.

I have modded a couple and they turn out very well. All in all they are nice out of the box with good potential for someone with the skills to modify.

It is exactly the same as the Rolex vintage sub JKF. I think there is a tutorial somewhere on modding them in this section.

Thanks a lot! It's my first time modifying a vintage watch.

Would you mind sharing some pics of yours here?

Also, I saw some threads teaching about aging the dial. May I know how I can create that "raised lume"?

The ones from other dealers have the Tudor engraved case back which is a plus

Oops I already placed an order for this one...however, do you know where I can get the correct case back from?

Is the crystal correct?

For raised lume I use a matte varnish and Holio lume powder and then to put the aging on it I add strong expresso coffee to the surface after it's dry with a tiny paint brush

Here's mine: https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/344050-My-Tudor-79090

I've given up on the aging stuff, I've learned the har way that it's very to easy to get it wrong. I aim for a "new old stock/service replacements" look instead.

Shaving the case is quite easy with a Dremel, files, abrasive paper and Dialux. Replacing the crown and tube requires a thread cutting tool and some Loctite. Replacing the pearl requires a (very small) amount of lume powder. Replacing the crystal is a no-brainer. There are a few really good tutorials, search for them.

If you find a source for the caseback, please tell.

(Of course you need tweezers, finger protectors, screwdrivers, a bit of luck, rodico, hands lifters, loupe and other watchsmith tools as well if you don't have them already. :)

I just received the watch and wondering if the insert and bezel have the right size Coz it somehow looked a bit bigger than usual.

If not, I'm planning to age the bezel with bleach.

All the ones I have had would accept gen size inserts. They are the same size as the Rolex 5513, 1680, Tudor 9411, Tudor 7021. I have installed gen inserts in the these bezels so it should be the same size.[emoji106]

Are you doing a black dialed build? The reason I ask is that the JKF black inserts will turn blue/grey when you bleach them. Just letting you know what to expect.
Like this one.

Here is another bleached jkf insert with an Aythaya bezel pip on my gen dialed blue 7021. In some light the older snowflakes look black. In daylight they are a beautiful blue with grey. The blueish tone of the bleached jkf is a perfect match and is very gen like.

And here is blue next to black. The black insert is gen. Neither of these cases are jkf. The black 9411 is a vietnam maker and the blue is a Phong.

Do you recommend me to change the plexi? Mine is super domed crystal which looks really domed. I don't know if the gen looks this dome tho.

If it can change to get plexi, which website would you recommend me to go ?

I used the flatter of the Clark crystals in my snowflake. It's not flat like a top hat or anything, it's just not as high a dome as the other. I bought both Clark T19s and used the taller version on another watch.

You could always try baking the dial a little to add some age. You probably won't get puffy lume from it but you will get a little browning. Just take care and read across the forum on it before you try it.
