My SeaDweller and 1680 just arrived....

Hi guys,

After a long wait and a little unfortune,(explained in another thread) goods arrived....


My SD is very nice, but i think the pearl is resessed to its metal ring. At first, it looked like the pearl was missing, but then i realized it was resessed.I dont know if this is common in the SD.

Also, another issue is that the bracelet in the clasp is not moving free, because the clasp's ''guards'' are blocking it.

Concerning the 1680. It is beautiful with the bracelet i requested BUT, the sell fitting is not so great and another important issue.

The bezel is moving both ways (bi-directoinal). It this supposed to be the case in 1680's?

The most important thing is that the bezel is turning like crazy, very free and loose. It does not stay in one place and moreover you can move it up/down from every point...

I don't see any pictures

It's normal that the 1680 bezel turns both ways. That's just how the gen is . The bezel shouldn't move that easily though. On mine (I have both the rep and the gen) the bezel does not move freely without applied force.

The cartel bezels are crap. It will rattle around more over time. Or you could use the dental floss trick to tighten it up. Bit ghetto. But it'll work.

The bezel assembly on these watches are in three parts. The retaining ring that holds the crystal in place and locks the bezel in place. Between the bezel and the retaining ring is what's called a friction washer. It looks like this:

It acts to stop the bezel from moving easily.

It also helps if you bend the washer
