TREVOR 036 PRICE ALREADY WENT UP TO RUBY'S AND CLIMBING......... FILM AT 11

Yup, got the same info from him 1/2 hour ago, he said he's got a few left in his stock, and that the price reflects the latest Swiss ETA mov'ts price hike. Even so, I asked him to put one aside, it's still a heck of a price for a rep of that quality.

FYI, Ruby is all ran out, but she's checking with her distributors at the moment.

cheers,
babola

I am certain he had several of us ping him at the same time today and he saw dollar signs flashing. We should have stagered them one day at a time. I also asked Ruby about three times in the last two weeks and no go.

I don't believe the ETA price story, but he is not the first to take advantage of a situation. I asked him about 2 other Swiss Unitas and they were the same old price. I told him I would take one and asked for his PayPal. He tap danced around trying to say real long lead time with PayPal. I said PayPal please. Finally he said both his accounts were frozen so no PayPal.

Have to go the Davidson route to pay. It takes days to set up a MoneyGram account and it has to tie into your checking account so no VISA. Hmmmm.....

That same factory is working on a great sounding PAM005 with same features and a good dial and caseback.

I heard that problem with the name or logo stickers coming off happening on these "everybody has them" Asian dials. Are the Davidson dials painted or do they have the same problems? I never really hear about his doing this.

I too want to use paypal, but I found moneygram is not difficult at all. Especially if you have a Wal-Mart close by. Almost every Wal-Mart can send moneygram. And it's cheap too. Like $9.00. So anymore it's not a problem for me. You walk in fill out a form to who it's sending to, and pay the person. Done, simple.

If I liked the 036, I might be all over this. But just to turn a profit in the future is kind of shady dealing if you ask me.

Good Morning Guys!

I am the guy that bought Acid's 036. payment sent today!
I was surprised to hear that about the price.
I feel dumb and ignorant!
But a deal is a deal, nothing can be done about that!
Guess I didnt do enough homework!
Thanks, Pete :D

I'm not being overly sensitive or anything, but I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting your watches to increase in value rather than decrease in value (like all reps and most gens anyway) overall; that's simply where I stand. However, I can see what you mean where it would be shady if a non-dealer purchases a bunch (like I joked earlier about stocking up) WITH the anticipation to turn a profit on fellow members. I think my thread henseforth helps all of us get the facts straight in order to get best deals possible, for all of us. Now I know what my watch is worth as was my original intention ($185ish plus strap cost, at least until Trevor's price increase), and all other members know too!

I don't think Acid knew that it was available for cheaper, and he probably responded simply to people's willingness to pay higher price; any of us would have done so. A lot of us didn't know that Trevor's 36 was actually Swiss since HE advertised them as Asian. Eitherway, it's a beautiful watch and you'll like your purchase; might as well enjoy it

I understand where acid is coming from. My first few purchases were not exactly strategic in value to say the least. I did get nice watches with no problems. A lot of this is luck and timing. Sometimes you are in the right spot and make a move in time. Other times you think too long and miss it. I don't feel too bad abou the times I paid more than I should of because at least I was not out there buying A+++ swiss replicas!

I believe the forum here specifically frowns on resale of newly purchased items. I thought I read you plain can't do it. I agree with that or all we have is yet another dealer and mini-cartel members to deal with hogging the few great deals that come along. We really have to share to enjoy this hobby.

Actually, my interaction with Acid has been excellent.
He has been very cooperative and helpful.
So have tootall and babola for whom without their knowledge
I probably would be wearing junk today.
I am going to just enjoy the watch and I look forward
to buy a couple of straps for it.(tootall)
Once received, pics will follow.

Thanks guys! :D

What exactly do you mean by "decals wrapping of"?
Is the "PanniePanniePannie" decoration on the bridges in deed just glued on the original bridges and not engraved?
If its this way I`d be interested if its the same case with swiss and asian version.

Edit: Someone experience with re-glueing this decals?
