I'm the second owner (it was a Dec delivery, so basically brand new and never worn you could say) and apparently the prior owner did the spa treatment and had the clasp setup played with.
All I know is it feels gen as hell. There's nothing rep about it. Just screams quality. I have been getting comments left, right and centre. The gleam and brush finish it has is spot on too. Not close. Spot on.
I actually cleaned it over with a cloth and I *think*, I may have rubbed some of whatever amount of residual lube there was possibly left there, off. As it was super smooth and fluid, and now it is a little bit tighter on the folders (which I had wanted actually, at first). But now I miss the loose fluidity, so I might treat it myself.
I know someone said it elsewhere, because I read it here myself, but I can definitely say it myself now:
You will never, EVER, get called out on a TC V6. Period. Fact. /Story. The thing is stunning.
And it's not a case of 'oh I'll get one and put a gen crown on it and change the crystal and insert and then it will be good. It is out of the box perfection. Any misconceptions from staring at 10x zoomed images online are completely blown out of proportion and aforementioned mods would be strictly for personal peace of mind and/or posterity and/or future resale value. On the wrist it's so tiny and the dial/hands and case where all the magic happens is going to flaw anyone incl the wearer. I say there's maybe a little weakness there on the insert but I don't quite mean it. It's just the one area that's perhaps 95% instead of 100, and I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe I would have preferred a square 4 instead of the pointy 4 on the bezel insert to follow the Y series theme, I don't know. To my face value eye it's identical to gen, but somehow it's the only part that also makes me feel it definitely isn't.
Just my 0.02c. I should start my own thread actually.
