I received my NSD today and it came at a bad time. No fault to the watch thou, as I am still admiring my newly acquired Seiko FiftyFiveFathoms watch. Well, I decided to give the NSD some attention and take some pics. My initial impressions were that it is a very well made watch and certainly looks very genuine. Everything was up to my expectation except for 3 things: sloppy bezel lume, bezel turns too easily (very annoying) and rotor noise when spinning (sounds like 21j). However, the sloppy bezel lume is not noticable from a distance.
My clasp is firm and tight and would not come undone easily. The rubber bracelet is well made and is comfortable to wear. I just hope that the material will not become sticky over time. The engraving on the caseback some seems shallow, but I am okie with it. Overall I am very happy with the watch and its quality, but if I could go back in time, I would have purchased the asian movement. Why? Because I think that this watch compliments my collection, its a nice to have, and not sure how much wrist time it will be getting. Now time for some pics.
