The interesting thing is that first post is just about as appropriate today as it was 5 years ago.

Watches get better, we complain about movements and complain about prices. Somethings never seem to change.

Every couple of years or so I bump this thread. Why not.
Ive been doing the single dad thing for many years now and didnt always have the time to stop in here. But as my son has gotten older I have more time, so I think Ill stop in to bug everyone more.

I also remember the old days when decent rep parts was super hard to find but gen Rolex parts could be found easily but they didn’t fit the case or the movement. Now a days gen part are like hens teeth or they are priced out of this world. But rep parts are plenty and quite decent.

Funny reading this now.. Especially the bit about Africa. I lived and worked in Nigeria for 4 years and was amazed at the replica watches on sale there. On the street, in the markets and in the malls,.replicas everywhere, but from what I recall they were mostly in your face hublots and Pams.

I will be back to Nigeria next year for another few years and will see what kind of prices they go for!

I found out about the wonderful world of rep thru TRC... back then a super rep cost a whopping 188usd!! How dare they charged that much for a rep
I bought my first thru Eddi Lee, a dealer from Canada, whom I chosen because that's where the watch is going to be shipped from, right?
