As I said. A custom buimd woumd be the way to go, although I haven't seen a rolli dial for sale in a while.

The dials tend to get scooped up and rarely come up again.

Beautiful watch, I have always been a big fan of the 036! All you need are the OP BB engravings on the case.

@marlin2284 , can't your engraving machine do it?

A while back I was asked, I played with it for a short time but just didn't have the time. I might revisit this now that I have more time. I have always like the 036, I even have a modded movement for it. Nowhere close to the beast he has in this build, but as good as the rep world gave me to work with.

Glued on plates, wrong finish on bridges, but the best the rep world ever did for this movement.

Are there golden chatones? What did you use for those? The best I could do with my very limited watchmaking skills was gold paint on a standard asian 6497 with glued plates like those. I've been waiting for a Swiss 6497 with gold chatones ever since.

Rolli vs Gen

The only thing rolli couldn't get done was the polished chamfer around the numbers and indices. He explained to me that it would have been crazy cost-wise to try and go after that detail.
For the rest his dial is as perfect as it gets.
This to say no build will ever come close to yours, the 036 dial you found is really something special :)

I did the same thing you did, painted them in, you did a very nice job. Your's looks very nice. I assume it's a DSN..

Yes, case and movement from DSN, I preferred the engravings on the caseback over a better shaped case.

Here's something special... one Rolli and one gen. They look pretty close in person. The gens actually vary quite a bit from dial to dial in terms of the chamfer. This is due to the hand lumed nature of the dials of that era. Some were almost overflowing with lume and some were sparsely filled showing a lot of chamfer.

These are both gen dials. The one on the right has slightly more lume than the one on the left showing a lot more chamfer

Not a great shot but the best I have on hand at the moment. You can make out what im talking about if you look close:)
