My custom Luminor for my son, very slow in the making

I seemingly have a lot of time to practice what I want to do with the dial, since my case hasnt even been shipped yet. This is my first attempt ever and I really have no idea what Im doing. I kinda know what colors Im looking for, so i just went for it.

HA! me too. Ive been away for a coupe days, so its sitting at home waiting for me. I like how it turned out, but Im redoing the dial so its a little darker.

I need to do something, I made the indexes too light.
Well, I stripped the dial and tried something else. I like it, but then I dont. I like the colors, but Im not sold on the streaky "burst-ish" dial... although it matches perfectly with the strap. I have more practicing to do before I build the final watch, but it is definitely fun trying.

I have. All the Luminors Ive had were always domed, I just threw this on for something different. This case actually had a domed crystal... I took it off.

So, I would like your opinion guys. I have this diamond necklace that I'm having no luck selling. What about taking a diamond out of it and embedding a single diamond in the dial below "PJR"... kinda Movado-esque.
I think the idea is brilliant.... but would it seem outta place on sucha a rugged looking watch?
Yea, Ive thought about that. I'll be using a polished case though. And I could paint the dial a matte black or dark brown. I have a set of blue cali hands, but I could use a polished SS set instead. Maybe make this a luxury-ish homage instead of vintage? Polished case, polished hands, black dial/white letters, single diamond and a black gator strap.
As weird and "un-PAM" as it sounds, Im starting to like to idea. It could end up being one of those that sounds great in my head, but shitty in reality... guess we'll find out when the dials show up.

Yea, thanks. I think Im gonna go with that. I know in the OP I mentioned the big domed Luminor, but I think Im changing my mind.
