Got this watch delivered for $110. It needed a good cleaning, relume and a custom Bronzy... but after that, its a very nice watch. Im in the process of swapping the CG to the proper lever-up version, but that aside I think it looks damn good, especially for the price.

This model has an incorrect auto movement. But for me, its a good thing. For one, I prefer auto since Ill be wearing it everyday. And if this watch used a manual wind, it would probably be the 6497, which has the second hand set further out, closer to the '9'... almost touching it, which looks incorrect to Gen. Being that this uses a generic 21j, the second hand is set further in, which actually makes it look more correct. Anyways, enjoy the pics, I sure love this watch.

Shane, lemme know when you want to dump that one. She's a beaut!

Thanks. But I'll never sell this one. Its a keeper since I sold my Fiddy. Toro has them for $110 shipped. If you want one, buy from him and we can fix it up for you.

What are you going to use to sort the CG lever position?

I have a sterile 127 on its way with the CG I need... BUT, someone told me that when the Gen owners purchased the 203, they were given the option of lever-up/down, so either is correct.

I wish it wasn't so big.... Great buy!

well shit, for $110 just do it! If you dont like Im sure it be easy to sell. For as little talk as this model gets, it seems fairly accurate to me. Although, my eye isnt too well trained, which works in my favor.

It just a damn nice watch. And I really like not having to wind it every day.

Just curious to know what you typically run to "fix it up"? PM me if you can and I will press forward. Thanks.

Matte Dial update

From what I have read, I believe that the Gen 203 has a brownish dial, not the shiny black plastic-ie looking one that comes on the watch. I couldnt figure out a way to give a brown tint to the dial, so I went with a safe bet to enhance the look. I got some matte clear and sprayed the dial. IMO, it looks a lot better.

Not only that, but spraying the matte finish helped hide the goof I made when cleaning the dial initially. I had accidentally touched the edge of the dial with acetone on my fingers, as you can see in the "before" pic.

What do you guys think?
