The engraving on the clasp is amazing and the ''ROLEX'' isa nice touch

Could you please post some pics of this clasp engraving?
...´Cause so far I´ve seen only crap on all GMT-IIc clasps, no matter if it´s ETA or a21j, there´s only a smudge there where should be a nice and sharp engraving. And I haven´t read about any updates on it nor seen any change on any models offered by any of the dealers (here and everywhere) so far.

Cheers,
Spirit.
Well Spirit, it's not a smudge, but it's not a sharp engraving either. Has more of the "worn for many years" look. I won't be using any cleaner in that area. LOL

so why do you write the engraving is amazing, looks like you got the same s**t then anybody else :D

Engraving on the watch is great, clasp, no. Maybe Replica got a nice one. I know my buddies DSSD has really nice engraving on the clasp.

The DSSD V3 and above are the only sport Rollies that got the correct and really well done engravings on the CLASP. Other than that, all of them are SHIT.
...the GMT-IIC, doesn´t matter if a21j or ETA, has a craptacular made engraving that is nothing else than a smudge, as the DSSD v2 too, as I could see today.

The DSSD v3, and the recently released Milgauss "Ultimate" are the only Rolex reps to have perfect clasps, according to its GENs counterparts. the DSSD having a black and sharp engraving, and the Milgauss having a really deep and sharp engraving, but not painted.
These are the ONLY reps available that I can really say got it right on the CLASP.

Cheers,
Spirit.

I really like it that the factories have managed to correctly reposition the rehaut engraving. That might be it for me to 'pull the trigger.'

It´s 90% correct on the a21j models...only serial number is misaligned.
...But on ETAs, it´s all wrong yet. (not aligned at all)

That talking about the GMT-Master II "Ceramic", of course...

I'd go for the one that is closest to gen while still affordable. Can't tell the sweep while on your wrist! Even small details won't be noticed until you take it off and hand it to someone and they stare at it or compare it to a gen.

the 50th rolex gmt 2 is a must have, and a perfect first choice for rolex.

Where did you find it ? on Ptswiss web site ? I didn't ask for teh price... At this price is it A21J ? If it's the same as in pics I will take this one because the GMT hand looks more accurate than the one from timeshop (shorter and arm larger...)

Question:
I understand from By-tor's review that the ETA 2836-2 movement has the GMT hand moving in one hour increments.

Is this the same for the 21j and Asian clone 2836-2?

I have my GMT hand set to 24hr time and does so perfectly. It moves right along with the hour hand.

All of them work perfectly as a GMT watch should, no problems with the functioning of them.
...While the hour hand takes 12hs to have a cycle done, the GMT hand takes 24hs to do so.

I have 2 a21j GMTs and they both work flawlessly too.

Just keep yourself away from the "swiss ETA correct handstack" and you will be fine. :D
Get a CloneETA, that´s the way to go, and your best bet on value, saving you bucks and getting an also good movement.

Spirit.

I just picked the same watch up with the Swiss eta... I was SO SO SO glad to finally find one that had the correct rehaut alignment!
Congrats on a great addition!

Whats the difference between 5oth anniv and the regular (other than the green gmt hand) ... I do not see a regular swiss eta ceramic on timeshops site. Which one did you pick up? Anyone thinks its worth getting it waterproof'ed from them for another 70 bucks?

Not to diss on time shops but are these not exactly the same watches but at rather substantially different prices? why buy from timeshops?

They're probably from two different factories.

I recommend if you're going for a GMT-IIc get one with the clone eta. It's not that much more and the movement is better. In the long run it's a better buy. But if your budget is around the $100 range the 21j version will do.
