Movements in my ZF IWC Replicas

Hi there,

Am trying to figure out what movements I have in my two ZF IWC replicas, both purchased from a TD this year.

1. ZF IWC Portuguese 500705
- "Asian Clone 52010 Automatic Movement with Functional Power Reserve Movement, Platinium Plated Bridges and Insignia Decorated Rotor" (according to TD website)
- 28,800 half-beats (according to QC pictures)
- Date at 6 o´ clock
- Small second at 9 o´ clock
- Working power reserve indicator at 3 o´ clock
- Power reserve 72 hours

2. ZF IWC Big Pilot 46mm (with a "9" on the dial and a Junkers Ju 52/3m engraved on the back, I think this is called a "5010")

- 28,800 half-beats (according to QC pictures)
- Date at 6 o´ clock
- Central second
- Working power reserve indicator at 3 o´ clock
- Power reserve 72 hours
- Screw-out crown

It’s both times the Liaoning Peacock SL 6601.
It’s rather impossible to get that movement on its own.
Spareparts…not existing.
Sometimes I got the offer to get this movement for 250$ which is borderline of buying the watch completely new.

There are different versions of that movement. The big pilots have the second centered while the Portuguese has it moved to 9.

It’s a solid built movement though.

Referring to your question: I have no plans, I was just curious.

What do you think of the ZF IWC watches with the annual calendar function, such as the Portuguese? I would guess they are based on the same movement? Is it reliable, or does the added function cause problems?

The annual calendars have some custom made chinese movements in them.
I have not heard good or bad about them.
They are for sure more complex then the liaoning but i dont think they are more robust. If you like them, give it a try.
