Thanks Ale,
I have seen a lot of movements over the years. Mainly genuine/ swiss or otherwise clones like from seagull (7750/28xx series and 6497). The cheap 21/23j Chinese throw-away movements I refuse to work on because they give me too much headaches. So that said I have never seen this lay out, nor does the base plate give the idea that this movement is used in more configurations. Based on that I believe it to be a complete new movement. Why did they not copy the genuine construction a 100% is probably based on patents. Most ETA patents are expired so they can be cloned 1:1. But then again.... This is the counterfeit industry so why would they care about patents right? In regards to the cap I believe it is just sloppiness. That could have been easily avoided.
Mark.
Hi Mark
Many thanks for the thorough reply
Your answer makes sense.
And, as always, I repeat it is a pity many time and money spend to get some SILLY flaws like CP and wrong inscriptions
You have save many time for me with this review, you have avoided a lot of speculations about this matter, and I'm grateful for that !!
As already said I have included this link in PAM GUIDE as a reference.
Thanks again and I hope so see you more frequently in RWI PAM Section
