This watch is gorgeous, I'd love to buy one.
Angus states the movement is a historic breakthrough, updated, & all that good stuff :)
7750 of course.

But... it's still Sec@6. I assume this thing is a ticking time bomb? I never owned one, but heard the Rolex Daytona's were TERRIBLE. Also akin to AP Roo Sec@12.
Does anyone have any experience with these "updated" Sec@6 movements for IWC - OR enough knowledge to make an educated decision about its longevity & time-keeping abilities?
Are there added jewels in the additional gears, etc?
Don't want the watch to become a paperweight ;)

Thanks!

Not on this particular model, no - though it's been said & discussed that all J12 AP Roos have the additional Jewels.
So, I'm kind of going with the assumption that maybe the factories are trying to upgrade all the movements that have additional gears for seconds with the added jewels?
I'm sure I should assume nothing in this biz though! Costs need to be kept down for them, lol - I get that!

Angus's website about this particular watch, says: Quote
This is a historic breakthrough in REP Field!!!
The A7750 Movement sec@6 o'clock couldn't have date display before, so these watches which both have date display and second@6 o'clock can't be made.
This watch uses a NEW Asian 7750 Automatic movement, with second@6 o'clock and date display. It's a historic breakthrough!!! Many watches can be made now!

So, whatever that means I guess?!

Until there is no evidence for modifications on the sec@6 problem with this movement, I'm sure the problem still can happen, even with the "new" movement. The rest is "Marketing by Angus", something between lies and phantasy. Someone has to buy the movement and write a review with pics! :)
