He's good but his first time at modding a watch
How did he do on the case?

He thinks it goes in strait now
We'll see

So if the watchmaker can get this together I'm fine
If not, I want to send this to someone who can finish the dial as well
Do you do that?

Finish the dial - you mean lume it, age it a little ?

Yes I can do that, but shipping is 2 weeks both ways, and it's not cheap US to EU. Better to contact @yodog who's in the US and does modding work - he can sort out what movement you need if the watch maker /modder can't, and he can do your dial for you.

Yes I was able to screw the crown only part way

Case is OK, if the stem engaged then it should be OK, but it sounds like you have a keyless works issue.

Im confused here. What does drilling a hole to let the stem pass through do? You still wont be able to screw down the crown if the movement doesnt line up with the tube. The only way to fix is to put in a thicker/thinner dial spacer to raise the entire movement up to line up with the tube opening.

It sounds like he's raised (or lowered . . ) the tube in the case so it lines up with movement. I think.

Oh boy, I doubt that happened because you will need to weld the original tube hole close and then redrill and tap.... I thought he meant he just basially enlarged the current opening in the tube. Whichever way OP is talking about its like putting a square peg into a round home

No, I was wrong. It seems he's drilled out the inside of the tube to make the hole bigger so That the stem lines up with the movement . . . not good, The stem will just snap after a while, maybe damage the movement.

You're right, just re-read the whole thread, he drilled out the inside of the tube.

There's no spacer or movement holder
Modder said movement needed to sit lower

He drilled a fraction of a mm not off the tube but the inner wall of the case

It it's not fixed, can I send it to you Yodog?

@georgiworld2 put the movement, with the dial on, in the case. Turn the watch face down on the table, get your camera and take a pic of the tube hole so that we can see where the movement hole is situated - too high or too low. If you can get a clear pic of the hole in the movement, looking down the case tube, I can tell you what movement you need to put in there to make this build work.

How on earth is the movement staying in the case without a spacer? Also, your saying he milled the circumference of the inside case so try and get the entire movement to sit lower? I think you should just salvage what you can and start new

This is probably a case for a 2836 if he said it needs to sit a little lower - 2824 would be a lot lower.

man i am confused af reading this.

lets see if im close.

OP has a case for a 2824 or 2836 movement?
OP is trying to use a DG2813 movement?
OP took to a modder who tried to mill ledge the dial rests on to get the movement to sit lower? How tf did he do that and know that it is perfectly even?

OP, if im correct on those 3 things, theres a couple options.

1. Send to a competent watch modder from the forums
2. source the correct movement for the case
3. shit in a bag, leave watch and bag of shit on step of jeweler's shop and light on fire.
