Somehow you answerred your own question. Why would you pick black over white? It's a personal opinion.

I prefer the white one as I like the contrast more. SS case vs white/silvery dial, black strap vs SS case and black bezel vs white dial. It has more contrast, I like it better.

I sold my black RC dial to Jamztio, he will have his franken ready in a while too.
