The watch you want is not made or at least not made well as a rep. If you want a great Pam rep buy one of the following

111v3 noob
417. Kuvarsit version
243 noob
217 noob
127 noob
292j noob

Can't go wrong with these.

I need a pam233 gmt 1950 8 day reserve? I need one that is the same as the real thing to the eye. Who is the best dealer for this? Thanks.

When guy's on here see this. First thing comes to mind is this guy is going to resale this piece as GEN . Or its going to end up on Flea- bay.

Do some research! If you want to find a good replica. That your going to wear for your personal reasons. The PAM section is a good place to start.

I have a PAM 299 K Noob that I got from Pure Time. I thinks it's very accurate for the price. Almost indistinguishable. I personally would steer clear of any chronos for reps. That's just my two cents...

I think chronos put alot of stress on a movement and even my gens have issues with the chronos sometime. I've seen rep chronos that, although they work, the sweep is wobbly and sometimes doesn't align up correctly at the 12 which bothers the crap out of me... That's just been my experience which may be quite different than other folk's experience...

I have a rep Chrono that's been ticking like a champ for two years. I wouldn't agree with that statement at all. I've had 2836 movements that have crapped out in a week.

Well, fairy muff.... Since you put it like that :)

Jumpiest 'sweep' (and I use the term loosely!) I've been witness to was a Tag GC17RS2 gen.... Horrible! Followed closely by a rep PD worldtimer....

In any case, my experience with rep chrono's has not been like yours, and I simply accept and expect mechanical issues with my mechanical watches which I guess is my 'coping' mechanism, lol

That's good to know that others have had positive experiences. B/C I've been wanting to get the Pam daylight chronos or hublot Big Bang red magic which is also a chrono but steered clear of chronos. Maybe now I can look into purchasing since others haven't had issues with chronos.

HEY B, my watchsmith managed to get your grail running again. He even replaced the strap for you. Should be on its way... How do you like it?

Sounds like the OP just wants to buy a Pam to show off how he can afford one of the hottest models without even bothering to actually find out more abt the watch (gen or rep)

Yes I'd also suggest the Panerai AD.

Not sure if that was intended for me, but if so (Pan is not sold in my city) and hopping on a plane to Toronto to try one on is cost-prohibitive LOL! Personally I like the look of the watch and would like to own one. A high quality rep is OK by me and if I only wear it occasionally so be it. I've settled on the 299 and am ordering one this week.

I'm new to the forum and don't want to offend anyone... I'm a collector and own bout 15 gen watches. The only rep I own is an awful SS Daytona that a friend bought me in HK 3 weeks ago and that spurred my interest and hence I joined 3 forums. Having followed other forums since the dawn of the internet I know people jump on "newbies" who ask redundant questions (been there)

I'm not dripping with IWC's, Aud Pigs or $200K Tourbillions. But I've worn gen subs for 25 years and have other stuff ranging from Citizen Signature to a vintage Pulsar P3. A Tack & Gybe Monaco, Bulova Marine Star a Feri Mosh, a Hamilton Ventura, Hamilton MIB II and even a Fossil Skeleton, a couple Armanis and other odds and sods (Even a tacky Pimp Blue LED - Not shown) Not a lot of pricey stuff but I love 'em all and wear 'em all.

If that "shot" was aimed at me I take no offense but I thought the forum is about people who like watches and have an interest in reps. If not; Apologies, sometimes it's hard to tell who's zoomin' who. Cheers!
