Remember to get at least A2836 movt. Cos 21J runs much less smoother unless its vintage Rolex series which has a low beat of 17 jewel movt.

I agree that it looks like an awesome rep. However we are talking about a stainless version of a white gold or platinum watch. Last I looked it's an over $30K USD watch. No disrespect to your dad, but can he pull that off? One other thing, the Gen weighs a ton.

Got a DateJust II 41mm for my father last Christmas, awesome looking watch. Pictures do not do it justice. Liked it so much just ordered two for me with the stick dial in both blue face and black face. Stainless Steel, Jubilee, black dial with arabic numerals. Timesshop has it on thier RWI special list.

Don't suppose you've posted pics of them, have you?

I'm very interested in the blue dial version but it seems to be two different colours on the dealer websites, but then the gen also looks two different colours depending on lighting / angles!

Yep, it has... the Datejust II has AR on the cyclops just as the Sub-C and GMT-IIC
