Montauk v2?

mine just arrived today ... have to say there is not much difference in the 2 at first glance ..but there is slight colour variation ..on the following
1. more creamer dial
2.sub dial slight different shade of brown
3.sec+min hand blue different shade of blue less aqua !!
4.tachy is slightly metallic shade to the finish !!
5. the update AR and DW not hardly noticeable
6 dark number on the v2
7. bolder ap font
conclusion ... not worthy of being called v2 at all .... more like V1.1

Well i was .. now i don't see the point ..as the so called V2 is a minor improvement on the V1 .. as the differences are hardly noticeable ..at first i could not see any !! until closer inspection in day light through X5 mag !!! i think the best thing is the rounded pushers !!
also those with V1 can sleep in piece know there's is just as close as V2 is to the GEN..
minus the rounded pusher !!

not a real upgrade at all !!

I see, I saw Klockis on RG post the v1/v2 comparison and it really is hard to tell any differences other than small color changes.

Which one has the colors best, or does it not even matter?

I really doubt anybody can tell if they dont have the two side by side anyway.

to be honest it don't really matter .. unless you want rounded pusher which can be easily
modded ..and the DW and Ar .. not even noticeable!!

Just picked this beauty up from the post office after a leisurely two-week vacation in Los Angeles customs...

I was almost immediately going to C&R this after I got it, but I think it might be a keeper when the new strap comes in. Its about 1000x more comfortable than my HBB v6 on my 6.5 in wrist.

Yea, the rep plastic strap is sub-par at best.

It kind of smells like leather, and doesnt smell of chemical cancer so I guess its not all bad.

I ordered a Donerix (Hamilton Leather) strap that should be here any day now.

No insert, and I specifically wanted it as such for my wrist shape as I had read it may fit better.

I have a problem with my HBB v6 where the insert in the strap causes the clasp to dig into my arm. I managed to soften up the rubber a lot, but not the portion that connects to the lugs as it seems there is a plastic insert in there. The fit is uncomfortable to say the least and I get a bit of the same with the ROO.

My first Donerix though, so I cant be sure. Will let you all know with pics and feedback once it gets in.
