I was hoping someone has some information on the Monaco 24 Concept watches. When I was in China and purchased mine, there were 2 sizes. The really large one I bought which is very square and very thick, but there were also others that were more rectangular and thinner.

I was more interested in the smaller of the two replicas, but I ended up with the larger models (see my intro post as to why) http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=66239

I have been looking around the trusted dealers and the specs are very misleading. The pictured watch do not match up with the specs. A perfect example of this are these links from timeshops:

http://timeshops.net/product.php?id_product=4181 - this is the smaller model, I recognize the more rectangular shape, the size of the case against the strap, and the stainless steel caseback, yet the case diameter is 44mm

http://timeshops.net/product.php?id_product=6206 - this is the style I bought yet the case diameter says 40mm

I know for a fact that the one was larger than the other but the pictures and the specs don't seem to be right and it is like this for all the trusted dealer sites that even list specs.

I am just at a loss as I can't find much info on the web concerning these watches and it appears that on dealer sites they all share the same descriptions.

I would really like to pick up one of the smaller sized ones, and if possible find different colors. I would love to get my hands on one of those catalogs they had in China, they had about 4-5 different colors with each size watch.

Here are some pics of the one that I wear often:

Thanks for that , iv'e been after a Monaco Blue and orange ( Gulf Colours ) for a while .

I bought a Toshi leather strap in blue with orange stitching for my old watch but alas now dead ..

Looking through various sites everything is mis leading and don't intend paying £100 for a joke ....

Cheers ..

If you have a look at the movements, the 44m watch is a Quartz and the 40mm is a 7750 chrono. That could go a long way to making the difference. The quartz is an older rep and the 7750 a much newer, more accurate one?

Just as a note, it unfortunately says 'cenifugal' on the back rather than centrifugal which is a bit of a giveaway. Shame, it looks really good otherwise.

Somewhat random question on the 24 but relates to the video above - does the 'main' second hand actually act as a second hand when it is not being used as part of the chrono function? I couldn't really tell from the video and haven't been able to tell from searching other videos. I know the dial @3 is showing continuous seconds but I was just curious as to whether the main second hand just stays at twelve or sweeps as normally expected?

No, a chronograph has the 'main' seconds hand solely as the timing hand. It doesn't sweep during normal operation of the watch. The subdial is the main seconds hand. If you know what I mean. So the large second hand on the main dial will stay static at 12 unless you are using the chronograph function.

Hope that helps.
