modding my PO

hello

the PO's are becoming my favorites reps and i'm still collecting more of them...so i decided to mod one of the cheaper asian models which is my daily beater.

i greased the Oring, fixed the heliumvalve with locktite (to prevent the possible loos of the crown) and also regulated the movement (this asian movements are keeping good time results).

since the stock lume is decent i decided to relume the dial and hands with a custom lume (which mixed it my self by adding different pigments).i know, the lume colour is not the same as the original one, but since i decided to relume the whole indexes to get bigger lume markers it would be in any way not "acurate" compared to the original one, but i dont care about it.

finally i reasembled the watch and pressure tested it to 6atm.

i'm happy with the results...i really like this watch.

ps: sorry for my bad english.

this is a good example of a member with low post count which would make him look like a noob but considering his smarts about disaasembling a watch and luming, this is NOT a noob.

I officially declare you a NON NOOB NOOBISH EXPERT WIS

i'm living in spain...but i'm only a modest watch collector who likes to mod my watches by my self (not a professional watchmaker).

Thank you for the nice post.

When I waterproofed my PO I noticed that I could not take off the HE crown to ensure it had a gasket but I read so many have lost thiers. I also noticed that the gasket for the back case was really close to the same diameter as the case back itself. In other words the case back almost didn't cover the whole diameter of the oring. Is this correct? I have an Asian version with long hands.

this is how the caseback and the oring looks like on the ultimate PO asian...the caseback does cover the gasket perfect.

the HE-valve is fixed wit a screw from the innerside of the watchcase, the gasket is in the HE-crown.

WOW Great Job!!!!

I am about to do mod my PO too, great tips!

Is ReadySetGlow better than Glow Inc? Which one would you recommend?

I am not trying to be picky but why didn't you relume the pearl too?

Looks great thanks for the post!
