Oh god...

The dick-slingin contest has begun...

We're not gonna start posting pictures of our fancy cars now are we??

Ugh...

This is just about as bad as the blather over at the Paneristi forum. (Lots of pictures of guys with their cars there. BIG dicks)

Dave:

As requested:

Check out TC Straps. Link is upper right of the home page here.

High quality straps both with sewn in buckles , or without buckles.

If you choose one w/o a buckle, cheapest place to get a good Panerai style screw in buckle is at http://www.panatime.com

PS I have quite a few cassette tapes of chopper missions (various units) during the Vietnam War.

Aqua:

Don't make me post photos of my 1990 Hyundai! The glove has been thrown!

I also have an extensive collection of rusty 1960's Caravelles that I will have to post if you push me any further!

Fixed lugs can be an issue. Davidsen's strap that he supplies with thye 3646 I ac tually kind of like. Most of the rep ones that come with watchs suck--but are good to use for their hardware.

I would suggest Ebay. There is a seller there that has a good variety:
http://myworld.ebay.com/rmnilsen/

Ebay user name rmnilsen

Usually has a good variety and decent quality for the odd ball "Aviator" Style with two rivets or screws, etc

But seriously...

I'm sure you're a nice guy and flying jets seems like fun.

This place is ANONNYMOUS for a reason.

By outing yourself here to show us what a man you are you have exposed this place, the dealer you purchased from and the rest of us to possibly some unwarranted scrutiny.

I don't know if you can go back and edit your replies but if you can- PLEASE do so.

You don't know who I am or how much money I make or what business I'm in and it's going to stay that way.

You NEED to be annonymous to preserve "This thing of ours".

If you want to be a tough guy go down to the local bar and pick a fight, don't do it here. And while none of us has any power to stop you other than naricng to ebay- DON'T sell your reps on ebay- do us ALL a favor please. Sell them on this forum and on RWG to fellow rep fanatics. No, you won't turn a profit, but turning a profit on these WILL endanger you at some point- ask your attorney.

Yeah please do-

The point I'm trying to make is that you are acting like a typical "Fake Watch" guy. I'm sure there are people here who have cool jobs and cool cars and cool paychecks- let's leave it out of the forum.

But the primary thing that I'm SURE has a lot of people worried here is you took a $300 Davidsen watch and put it up on ebay as if it was some sort of hand-crafted "homage" piece made in Europe. When in fact it's a cheap Chinese knock off- the kind we all love here.

By exposing our little world to the harsh light of the worldwide ebay community- especially when someone has bid far and above what the item is worth then you're no better then the scam sites. You want to get paid for your "Knowledge"- go write a book.

If you're a stand up guy you'll pull the auction and sell the damned watch here for $300 or whatever THIS market will bear.

If you need the money badly maybe we can strike up a collection.

Looks like we gotta self-police here. When dealers start telling little white lies I think it does help to call them on it. When forum members start reselling their watches to the unkowing public cloaked in little white lies- we need to try and stop that practice. It's an unwritten code - and we shouldn't have to spell it out- should we?

Bullshit.

Your title is "Custom Panerai Radiomir"...Not "Vintage Watch Replica"

You referred to the "Watch" several times and stated "A custom modified watch with prototype 1936-style aftermarket face"- Rather than "Chinese made replica with Russian Movement".

It is in fact a replica made in China, and posting it in ANY form is against ebay's rules.

Sure you're not being openly untruthful- but you've made it seem like you found some great old time watchaker and paid him lots of money to construct a high quality replica of a priceless heirloom- when in fact you bought a cheap Chinese watch with a rusty Russian motor. A fun toy no doubt, but NOT a custom made, high end piece as you inferred. (Hey- I have THAT EXACT WATCH on order from Davidsen right now) It is a cool reproduction of a vintage piece, loaded with copyrighted logos and brand names, that now makes YOU a counterfeiter, since NO WHERE do you state that the watch is a replica, reproduction or copy. You keep calling it a "Custom Modified Watch"- Not a "Custom Made Watch". NOWHERE do you state this is NOT a Panerai watch. If you did ebay would kick it out and you know that.

Again- Nothing I can do about it, but YOU can pull it from ebay right now and relist it with a $300 BIN- or put it up on this site and recoup your investment.

So cut the bullshit, cut the bragging- own up to it. By the "rules" enforced by this community what you're doing is wrong- if you don't care so be it, but it's a scummy way to make a $500 profit.

Now excuse me- I'm wanted on set- time for the MONEY SHOT...

Thats a fact that none can dispute. Good luck on your sale. If your item doesn't get reported before it ends, the buyer will soon see its not a Custom Panerais Radiomir and ask for his money back.

I believe that one look at the movement plates, and you will be called out.

Fighter pilot, gardener or taxi driver, you are misrepresenting this item.
