Here's mine now it's also had the treatment from zocker4711. Same as the OP but with a gen crystal and date wheel not a TC.

Looks really really nice, what movement do you have? SA3135?

Yep. 3135. Still have the stem / winder difficulty mentioned earlier in this thread. A bit of slipping and difficulty in pulling out to the last position but apart from that it's a great piece.

Guys, fantastic looking watches - think I will do the same very soon. The crown issue you refer to is likely to be the result of poorly installed/poorly manufacture/unlubbed keyless works or a misshapen stem ( I am no expert so happy to be corrected). For the ETA clone movement (the 2836) you can replace parts with gen ETA parts from Cousins.uk. I have fixed keyless works in the past, it is doable as an amateur but you do have to remove the dial and date wheel so only a DIY if you are up for such things.

On another note, do you know what Zocker does to the clic mechanism?

Not too sure. It was mentioned he machined it but that sounds quite drastic. Whatever he does it has gone from a really loose poor one to something that is nice, tight and positive.

He checked the movement and said he thought it looked clean and ok lubed. I didn't get him to service it after he said that. I think you are right in saying it is inferior quality parts causing the problem. It's not something I am going to try to change or repair myself. I don't think I'm ever going to do movement repairs unless I had proper training. Interestingly I did look at a training course by British Horology. They do a 5 day residential course which really starts you off well, if I remember correctly about £800.

Yeh, I've seen the course and sorely tempted - but then again that's 3 or 4 new watches! You might be interested in my post: noob adventures with explorer 2 (bezel and keyless works). Just as an appetiser you understand!

just stunning! these are the only mods necessary to get, as zocker says, 99.9% gen. I have the same mods (plus necessary bezel mod) on my smurf. now if I could add a white gold bracelet!

It's not going anywhere sorry.
I was so close to getting the gen but you know what - I don't really see the point. This one is so good visually the gen isn't needed.

Did you even bother and do one little bit of reading this thread at all mate?
I try to delete my message but I don't have the option, I saw last page photos and thought that was the entire post and later I figure out it had 4 pages.

My bad.

Mööööp :D

Ok I have read all 4 sites ;) hehe
so to clarify a few things...

There are two Versions out of the new 116622

One with A2836-2 Movement an one with SA3135 Movement.
i think 2836 I don't need to explain? These need an TC/BK or Noob SubC DWO to Correct the wrong Date Typo.
The SA3135 is an copy of the real RLX3135 Movement, some Parts are interchangeable but the most of them not! Maybe 2% are exchangeable... On the SA3135 you can add an GEN RLX DateWheel.
The biggest Prob at the SA3135 is that the Movement is not reliable... The Keyless prob is also there as on the Yuki But on the SA you can't interchangeable these Parts for gen Parts.
The only good Part is that the SA Acceppt Gen Dial and Hands also the GEN DW.

if you buy the SA3135 version you can swap the Movement for an Yuki without probs.

At the 2836 it's not possible.

Different is also the Crown Position, at the SA you have gen Specs the 2836 Crown sits lower and not sooo close to th gen.

About the Sliping problem on the most Watches is that the Crown slip over there own tube (CrownTube) that happend when the crown isn't too much out of the Case. You can test self if you pull a little on the crown at Wind up.
It won't slip ;)

About the Crystals all 295 Crystals (Gen Specs) Fit at the Watch.
Gen, Noob, JF, TC, Clark etc.
But the Gen Watch comes with 2x AR and LEC ;)

Zocker, thanks for the great, in depth info on this beauty. Do you know if the SA3135 version is using the same movement that Noob was putting into its v3 subs which was said to be a decorated version of a 2824/2836 or one of those?

But don't forget the horrible bezel spring at the JF YM. It's the most important mod in my opinion.
