Mod Tips, What Replicas are easiest to look more Gen...

Looking for an Explorer or Air King that I can improve. So any tips on which to get to change the mechanism for an ETA and improve the general look of.

From what I can tell some movements are easier to replace than others.

Basically I want to improve an Air King or Explorer without going full Franken.

Any tips on flaws on the reps I've mentioned that I can correct...

General rule would be to buy the one you like best, get it in hand and see what flaws may bother you. If it looks good enough, leave as is and enjoy it.

From what I gather some reps are easier to fix/change movements. I'm looking for specific information on the models I can change.

Or are you saying every movement in a rep can be switched out for an ETA?

And some flaws will be easier to fix than others. So all factories and reps are the same? I just pick one and go from there?

Why fix what's not broken ? As far as "flaws", that's all subjective to our own eyes. What may be an issue to me, may not be for you. That's why it's suggested to buy what you like and take it from there.

But you're a single-prop C152 pilot who is trying to get a 747 or A380 off the ground.

Stick with the C152 for now, then in 6 months or so, try a KingAir. Maybe next year then you're ready for a Gulfstream... And in two years an Airbus A330.

PS: A KingAir is a type of two-turboprop executive plane, not a typo meaning Air King.

So let me reassure you, every single movement can be replaced by an ETA, and it's really easy to do with just regular household tools. Explorer and Air King upgrade parts are also readily available that will turn your lousy OOTB rep into a thing of real AAAAA+ deep replica beauty. Just read around the forum and you'll find all the guidance you need.
