Micro Review V4 AP ROO Diver by Dr.Gran

This is the V4 Diver from new maker/chanel

Print on dial is solid

Lume of inner bezel is plentiful

crown guards is rounded to fit crown


















The V4 Diver in natural light

+ Bezel looks reasonable. Screws are only minimally recessed on this V4.






+ V4 Crystal is clear enough.Very easy to the read the time even in very poor lighting conditions.






+V4 dial looks crisp enough




-Minus: V4 cyclops and date is of ridiculously poor quality (i.e too difficult to tell the date)

-Minus: Date font must be improved

Lume is pretty good, but Hour hand lume is too feeble.

+ Strap looks crisp with deep lettering

Clasp/buckle looks fine when strapped on

V4 Ccaseback screws and detail looks pretty good






V4 Faults:




Too short crownguard/cower over the second crown

Poor finish of stamsp/lettering on inner side of clasp/buckle ...RUST?? at least discoloured

V4 Endlinks are all wrong....+ horrible connection to strap on my watch

Some notes on the new maker V4 (No! this is not the noob 4.1):

Conclusion: This is likely not the last version of this said diver :facepalm:

Good review Dr Gran. As I kept scrolling down I asked myself " why buy a noob V4.1" then you pointed all the minor flaws... Could I ask you why u decided to go with the new maker vs the noob 4.1? is it because of the inner bezel not matching up properly?

I just did it.....

Yes the inner bezel is better on the V4 it seems

but truth is that I was not sure which watch to get

Toro and Angus claim the noob V4.1 is better. They should know, but obvioulsy they are not neutral....hopefully the date font and cyclops is better on the noob V4.1 and V3.5

the bezel numbers are still not thick enough unfortunately, I sent a scan of my gen to a dealer who passed it on to the maker, a high resolution scan that is

lume is not white enough too imo, crystal is not good enough and cyclopse too, imo the V4.1 is better
