Just shipped a Sub to italy, received at destination with no problems. It is not where you ship but how you ship it.
1. Do not use national carriers and you save yourself problems.
2. Insure your package. EVen if you don't say what exactly is inside you can still insure it. GLS which covers the whole EU has a standard ensurance of 400 euro on all packages, you don't even have to declare the content nor the value. Otherwise buy an external insurance if more valuable or a gen.
3. Never ship as "Insured", raccomandata. It is routed as mail not as a package. I worked with the software for the mail sorting machines and the ones for mail are optimized for speed not accuracy, as it is assumed there is no value in letters, contrary to packages. I went around in those gigantic sorting compounds and could see tons of mails who were fallen out or in between segments. BTW the same happens at the airport with your baggages

I'm well aware of the many legitimate issues others have experienced with transactions in Italy...
That said, my own shipments — both incoming and outgoing — to and from Italy have had a 100% success rate. This includes both rep and gen watches, as well as other types of merchandise. Maybe I've just been lucky, who knows (I guess so...).

Don't be such a drama queen.
If you can afford to spend €550 on a fake watch, you can afford to lose €550 because a watch, fake or otherwise is not a requirement, if I could never wear a watch ever again, if some bizzare law were passed whereby wearer's of replica watches were banned from wearing watches at all for the rest of their lives, and if all my watches were taken away, I'd be fine.
And you haven't lost both, you've lost one or the other, having both the €550 and the watch was never an option.
If the seller scammed you, you've lost €550, if it's lost in the post, you've lost a watch.
How old are you? 5? Jesus wept, I bet my divorce cost me £200k, and the loss of over a dozen watches which I presume she sold or more likely threw away, I'm over it.

All said and done, taking L's is part of the game. Whether it be gen or replica, i have seen it all. It stings at first, you feel gutted but ultimately life goes on and you get over it.
Number one rule in engaging in this hobby, if the loss, whether it be a scam, stolen package or DOA watch, impacts you or your families ability to continue financially, you shouldn't make the purchase in the first place. Period.
My face was doing that pretty well for me for a couple of years after my divorce but I just can't resist makeing 'em laugh and then their knickers fall off.....

How am I suppose to know this wasn’t a whole scam. You can’t even see where the watch is. The seller could’ve easily orchestrated something for it to get lost

You did a backdoor sale so staff and forum cannot help. Without a sales thread or form there is no more assistance from the forum.
On a side note.
I remeber you from the Reverso posts. I reiterate what I said back then now. You should do reading about the rules, what this place is, replicas in general to prevent future issues.

And my friend how do we know you haven't received the watch and are playing the victim?

For future references to anyone, the proper procedure to avoid this:
- post a Want to BUY
- if someone makes an offer (they should be AT LEAST CERTIFIED), have them post a RESERVED sales thread.
- be very specific about terms, including shipping. You can ask for your preferred method of shipping. If the seller disagrees and does not give you an equivalent option that has what you require (tracking, insurance), that should be enough to call the deal off.
Then and only then will RWI intervene.
This is why the WTB is restricted now.

Thanks for all your help guys. I really appreciate it. It’s a very unlucky situation to be in and I’ll definitely learn from this. I lost a huge amount of money like an idiot. I’ll keep on my search for this watch and I’ll definitely be more cautious. The organization that rwi has is definitely something few communities have, it’s genuinely incredible. Thanks again
