I'll be the odd man out for a change. McCain Palin are as far from right wing as you can get. BUT...they are helping my sex life. Sarah Palin looks exactly like my wife. Glasses and all. We have been playing Mrs. President for the last week. And as soon as the speech is over I am going to get behind Sarah for sure.

lets assume McCain gets a stroke in a year or a heartattack ( and he is due ) then PALIN will be President.

i just heared her speech....she propably motivates my old underwear.

no charisma, no motivation, no power, i had no feeling of any emotion.

she should be the spokesperson for Rosie O' Donnell's better housekeeping and baking club.

this woman PRESIDENT of the most power country in the world ? LORD, have mercy !

Is McCain out of his mind with his selection ? is he counting on 20 mio. desperate housewives now to vote because of picking PALIN ?

I don't comment on forum political analysis because it is so often wrong. So I am going to step away and 'stroke' my Palin.

on the other hand, Palin's opponent Joe Biden has been a senator since 1972 and HE is part of the problem. Politics as usual and a lifetime membership in the Washington elite. It is time to replace people like him who define what is called "the good ole boys club."

If those who say they do want change mean what they say. Give him the boot and bring in some fresh underwear.

Or if you like, vote for the party of P. Diddy... heaven help us.

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!!!!!!!!

( I still respect all opinions though, just partial to my own ) :D

yeah, well, i am speechless ! what are the choices here ?

is this the best that the US has to offer in leadership ?

i am talking about both candidates....

in her speech, she was talking about 45 years ago, when McCain was a POW....and even when he was interrogated and beaten...he was giving everybody thumbs up.

what shit is that ? there are thousands good americans in Vietnam - living like rats today. but McCain...he deserves to be President.

2 thumbs up !

I vote for gridlock.

I liked tonight's speeches (Rudy can be really good), but I will never again vote for the presidential nominee from whichever party has control of Congress - especially when that control is as overwhelming as was the Republicans' last election, or the Democrats' this time around. Gridlock is our only hope (best hope?)

Sarah Palin kicked ass tonight and so did Mike Huckabee.

Palin was chosen because she's pro-life, pro-gun, pro-drilling and pro-tax cuts. She's fought both Republicans and Democrats on public corruption.

Let me see???

Biden? or Palin?

What a difficult decision! NOT!!!

I probably shouldn't plan on attending that San Francisco GTG after all.

Heck don't let politics get in the way of fun and especially watches. :D

and don't worry there are a lot of us that are not affiliated with the political party of gays, lesbians, and rappers LOL.

It's all fun and good...people should feel strongly about their opinions and yet be able to express.

Yes, politics is a testy topic for sure, to agree with Cybee. It is truly a poor choice in the presidential candidates, but when selcting the lesser of two evils, I would have to choose Obama. He is younger, more idealistic and the drive needed to manage a high pressure job. McCain is 72, and proven himself on numerous occasions to be batshit crazy. To be tortured in a north Vietnamise prison camp for 5 years has simply got to skew ones point of view.

thanks Hambone.

a guy usually has enough power to enjoy the rest of his busy life in protected living, not to lead the strongest country in the world.

his age scares me.

oh well, America will decide.

I actually met John McCain about 1986. He was a Congressman and we didn;t just meet for a few minutes, I was with him for the better part of four hours. I was working in Washington then and truthfully, I didn't care for a lot the Pols that I met on either side of the aisle..the biggest goof was a Congressman name Gus Yatron from Penn. Anyhow, McCain was a mans man, no BS, no crap and he knew then what he wanted to do and then he did it. I don't care whether you like him or not but he's a fierce Patriot. He talked with me about the founding fathers and what kind of duty he had to the people who voted for him. I wanted to look at chicks but he pulled me back into the discussion. I will promise you this, if there is another attack on this country, I would much rather have McCain running the show than Barry. For those of you who believe the Zeitgeist then I have pity on you. There will not be a day that goes by that I don't say "Welcome Home" to John McCain. For all you ex military types, I hope you get it...for the left leaners....I really hope you get it. Most of this board doesn't have the foggiest idea about how politics really works so here's one for you...John McCain wouldn't give a crap about whether someone buys and sells a few thousand rep watches. He is much more concerned with the guys making replica bombs. In other words, he wants to keep us safe and private.

I think it's great this thread is still alive...never let politics get in the way of friendship.

I will take my friends any day over politicians...Frankly I think it's amazing how some of these people devote their lives to public service and my hat is off to all of them.

I devote my life to replica watch forum, how sick is that.

I agree Cybee. My friends and I have had HEATEd discussions on things from politics to religion to Yankees/Mets lol. An outsider would think we were on the verge of bloodshed, but minutes later we're in the backyard drinking beers, like nothing happened. i myself am guilty of going overboard earlier in the thread. But, appologized because i was wrong, plain and simple. emotions got the best of me, because it is a touchy thing with me. In my eyes this country's security is always the main thing. I lost friends on 9/11. kids i knew since i'm 5. I work(ed) 3 blocks away, and daily got off the train and smelled the mix of rotting flesh and burning jet fuel. not pretty, especially knowing some of that rotting flesh was my friends, my dad's Port authority friends, etc. The country said "Never forget" well I haven't bud sadly it seems most of the country has. In the end like a previous poster said i think we all want a better country, we all want improvements, just disagree about the path to get there.
