I'm wondering if it's only me that has noticed that the person that has started this topic as their first post and has caused such dissension amongst some of our most valued members and has not even waded into the fray even once since the initial post...really bothers me...I've owned two MBW's and it was not difficult by any means or stretch of the imagination to discover a source for these watches. I'd like to have the oppurtunity at some point to purchase others, when my skill level and time allows me to perform mods. but...if this information is handed out so freely to individuals without any sort of due diligence in their search and zero posting history...the few purveyors of the these watches will dissapear. I think if an investigator for a watch manufacturer can sign up here and create one friggen post and find out all the info he needs to mount a case...we're all screwed...I say let them earn their money and let anyone that truely wants to get into reps "MBW's" in particular....find out what they're in for by doing a little research..my .02

I agree. He had one post then disappeared. Take him off the board.

No, you weren't the only one who noticed and for the most part I agree with you 100%, however, I find it intersting that I see it a little different than you. The "dissension" can be found in almost every thread on this board and I enjoy the debates and exchange of ideas here at RWI. For the most part, when compared to the other boards, I give RWI an A+ for the ability of the members to keep it civilized and realize it's just a frigg'n watch board were people share their different opinions. I can't see how anyone can take this stuff seriously enough to have thier egos damaged.

As far as giving up the goods on how to find the elusive MBW, unless I missed something in this thread, the overwhelming tone I got was for the original poster to "seek and ye shall find" It did not appear to me that anyone handed the information out freely.

Did I miss something?

LOL,

you missed not a thing.. poster came here from another forum to find infomation not freely given there.

poster found the information sought... and, no, he is not a noob to reps or other forums...

somewhat comical in this thread is the fact no one has even pointed to By-Tor's excellent review of the MBW...

http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1156

and the 'opinions' expressed have been most entertaining, and often in contrast to By-Tor... seriously comical...

The one seeking actually knew what he wanted.. and why.. and the reasons for him were in line with By-Tor..

he was only lacking the contact information...

Did I miss something?[/quote]Nope Jake....ya missed nothin' I think I was on third can of Fosters when I wrote my post. I too enjoy the witty banter between the two MEGA- POSTERS and I also can't wait to hear what comes next...from them :) I have no problem with anyone acquiring knowledge from the vastly experienced members of this forum...I learn something new here almost everyday...but, why seek the "Holy Grail" on your first post and not just say....Hello, I'm_________,nice to meet you all...I've been a member @ TR_this or RW_that for some time and........

so true. I wonder if the poster ever returned because now he has several pages to sift through. All the hype of the MBW, wow! makes me want to start packing my lunch for the MBW vintage quest.

i guess in due time i'm going to start asking or pm'ing you guys :)

it'll be a while... I dont have the brass balls yet to start modding one

why is it so elusive now though? i would have figured if something sold well, it'll continue to sell well.

MBW

I'm the guy who made the first post asking how to find an MBW dealer (George). After days of research I couldn't find the information until a member took me into his confidence. (You know who you are and again you have my thanks). I haven't posted on this subject because I wanted to get an MBW watch first and then post pictures. However, forum member LYAY feels I should be removed from the board because of what???????? I guess his motto is "No Soup For You!?" In my research I found there were many people having difficulty finding MBW; I wasn't the first. Thanks to everyone who have helped me. :D

LJAY - sorry, I thought it was you who asked I be removed from this forum. After rereading all of the posts my remarks should have been addressed to - "COOP." Again, sorry. "Timeflies"
