There's not really one sought after more than the other. The pointed 4 version is the later run of gen inserts...but I've seen gens D and Z series 16610's with the flat 4 too. Guess it's all about what "you" want. To me....the pointed 4 insert looks best on a "kept brand new/polished/safe queen" piece whereas the flat 4 looks best on one that's worn on a regular basis and looks "worn on a regulat basis"...but again, that's just me.
Think they are trying to make it look deeper by using a shallower angle? I must be in the minority, but I can look past the wokky-ness for that dial. It's by far the best I've seen yet and sells it for me. Should be here sometime soon.
^ please post some good pictures when you get it, at 450 and wrapped it's starting to look more tolerable.
A thing that is really bothering me about TT subs is the lack of quality of the bracelet. The watch looks great for 500$, but look at the quality of the bracelet.

I feel like PureTime's wrapped option looks like the only solution with a nice bracelet. Yet I have no idea what their dial color looks like, in the pictures on the website it looks kind of purple, but that doesnt speak much of the dial color due to distance and lighting of the one photo.

I got mine (old stock with side plated sels and nonengtaved rehaut) from paso about two months ago and it is flawless. including bracelet... go figure.
There's no better two toned sub available right now that I know of. There's a few flaws here but they are far outweighed by the thick and durable 18k wrapped bracelet, and great details in the rehaut engraving. While nobody seems to be able to confirm its wrapped, I wore mine solid 24/7 for 3 straight months and not a thin spot or flaw anywhere. Plating doesn't stand up to this. Also, look at the MBW dials. They have the deep candy cobalt blue like the gen dial has. Nobody else has it. RSH just got an MBW dial from me, ask him what he thinks. By the way, I can't believe your complaining about the inside back of the SEL!
Fellas, thanks to Ruprekt, I have an MBW dial now and believe it or not I am swapping wm9 dial markers on it. I had a chance to see the gen dial here while I was assembling his tw tt sub and this dial is brilliant in person, the noob and wm9 dial dont compare in color. The wm9 lume is fantastic and the window bevel is a bit better but the color seems duller. I will see if I can take a pic to prove the point....

Definately the crap lume for sure. The 6:00 marker on some isn't straight, but I always intended on reluming anyway. The markers come off for that and can be put back on straight.
Ok this is not a cheap watch, its $400+, and in that picture the bottom of the SEL looks painted and not even painted good. My Silix model has better SEL than that picture I posted with the circle. Yet on the first page of this thread there are photos of a watch with a really good bracelet. Is the watch on the first page of this an MBW? and if so why would the quality of the other MBW be so much less?
