After much reading I’d like to say hello, and thanks to all the valuable contributions made by fellow members!
I was at the MBK center and started checking replicas, walked away with what I thought was a rather clean Carerra day/date.
An older gentleman was inspecting some much higher priced Rolex reps with a loupe and I asked what he thought of my selection - “‘If it looks good to you then get it….”
I’ve since seen this sentiment across the board and learned that the rep game is not just for those with limited budgets, but also for those wanting to protect their investments by wearing something made the honor of the originals.
A deep dive here and I am rather enjoying my time pouring over the posts and details to decide what will be my second rep.
At this stage (like many other members here, new and existing) I am leaning towards the XF Pelagos and swinging between this and the ZF Pelagos 39. The later I may wait for a V2 and need to sell some unused items before my wife will approve anyway so I figure I’ve some time up my sleeve before a new watch on my wrist.
7” / 18cm circumference wrist with a decent height wrist bone - if anyone happens to have similar then I’d love to see the 42 or 39 on your wrist too.
