Maxi Marine rubber clasp finish

I've asked TD for a maxi diver blue surf on the rubber and these is QC
What are the choices? Do we get busy with sand paper or buy the the strap from AD? What would you do?

Yeah the clasp on mine wasn't a piece of beautiful steelwork either. Best bet is working on it yourself I'm afraid.

I don't even want to think what the strap from the AD would cost though.

Looks like grease, some guy on RG had some on his screws. I'm sure that you can wipe it off with water and soap.

I was surprusied to learn that Gen breitling rubber is $75 . Will ask UN AD and report my findings.

I'm also looking for a decent strap. Mine's the stainless steel one, and the clasp SUCKS!!!!! Plus the ULYSSE NARDIN logo is printed completely crooked. Hate it.

Are there other rep variants that have a different, better stainless strap?

I've got a broken one for a Blue Surf with broken clasp if anyone needs it for spare parts.

I originally got one with a crooked logo and the TD sent me another one no charge.
