If I may share this here, today I greased seals and WP tested my recently acquired XF V5 blue Pelagos, and it passed without a scratch.
Alternate tests 2 times at 6ATM/ 2 times at 3ATM, with 3mn pressure building each, for only 2 or 3 bubbles escaping from under the insert (remaining air).
I'm sure it could take more pressure, that rep seems to have a real diver potential, solid !

I've just purchased the XF V5 Pelagos in black from TD Sead! Can't wait to receive it.

Amazing review and pics. This really pushed me to make the purchase 👍👍

Hello,

I'm a bit confused and hoping for help from experienced users...intime has a V5 of the Pelagos from ZF on offer. Is this the successor to the V2 discussed here?

Several places say that ZF stopped producing the Pelagos after the v2...

And btw: Does anyone know a seller for the xf V5?
Sorry, for the quote from another thread... But does anyone have more information?

Did you find an answer mate?
Looking at noir myself.

I’ve seen TD and non TD with ZF “V5” (likely an error) and XF V5 - rather torn as the ZF has very near exact matching numerals on the bezel but the XF Ti looks more then GEN.

The other part killing me is that I’ve not seen ZF dial pics with the detail shown here by the OP legend @kennygconspiracy to compare textures, or indeed other details at this level.

There are some older XF V2 v. ZF comparisons but that is not where we are at.

Anyhoo, back to comparing TD images before eventually contacting one!

Is posted this elsewhere but the current XF version has a fantastically matte dial with the wonderful texture of the OG posts in this thread.

The clasp functions as intended though does not sit flat, that bothers me as it gets caught on things. If anyone has an idea of a remedy (short of buying an US replacement) I am all ears!

I'm awaiting the arrival on the second one of this watch. Unfortunatly i've sold my first one in thought the band doesnt fit. It was after it was gone, that i've learned that there are actually half links. So yeah, bought one of those, and another watch.

@Forjaytyfour I've actually bent the clasp folding things inside a little, so it sits more flat (not sure how the parts are called in english). Would recommend you to do the same.
