Mark XX vs Mark XVIII, opinions?

Hi guys. Im looking at the above reps and there doesn't seem to be much in it in the way of differences,

For the Mark XVIII - I can get it in titanium, which does look really nice and would be different to all my other watches.
I could also go with a SS version on a bracelet and get aftermarket leather/nylon straps, ++ points for versatility (and blue or brown dial colours)

For the Mark XX - I could get the green dial which does look great and I currently don't have any green dials after selling a hulk. Though no bracelet, and no titanium options.

Other than these points, I couldn't really tell much differences between the two from V7F. How accurate are the dial colours? Brown on steel (XVIII) might be interesting... Though i must admit it was the titanium that drew me to the model in the first place, but maybe its just not as versatile.

Anyways appreciate your thoughts, IWC fans - I've never owned one myself. Bonus points for pictures!

I have the V7F Mark XX in blue. Easily one of my favourite watches to wear. The clone 2829 is working like a charm for me, although other forum members have noted a loud rotor noise. Not the case for me as I had it serviced as soon as it arrived.

Here's my watch on the factory brown strap it arrived with

Here's my watch on an aftermarket suede strap picked up from Ali.

In terms of the difference between the Mark 18 - not much aesthetically different from what I can tell. Main upgrade is the new quick release straps it comes with. Although a quick release metal bracelet has not yet been released and a lot of members seem to be waiting on V7F to release that before they buy. MKS Factory have released the Mark 20 on bracelet however I've yet to see anyone review how good that bracelet is as it seems the MKS Mark 20 build is overall inferior to the V7F build.

Overall it's a great watch but in terms of comparing it to the Mark 18 it doesn't seem there are that significant of a difference.

The biggest difference is the shape of the case. The Mark XX has shorter lugs, so if you have small wrists this could be the better choice. I have two V7F Mark XVIII and i am absolutely happy with both of them. The movement is soft like butter; one of the the best I ever had in a Rep.

Ok, and now for the bonus points ;-)

Case shape makes sense, I heard it wears smaller (the 20). my wrist are 7+ depending on the weather, so not really a size problem. Looks lovely really on both bracelet dressed up, or dressed down on leather - how is the bracelet from a fit and finish perspective? I think I noticed the same micro adjust button as I have enjoyed on the SeaQ rep - really clever.

Where did you get the leather straps? Heard good thing about Jacob straps - I think they are very fancy on a deployant.

Are any colours more accurate than others? I'm drawn to the brown 18 (for the novelty!) or green 20. Such a hard decision really lol. If bracelet was available for the 20 I'd go for that. I think I've just about given up on the titanium option, though the lightweight combo with nylon could be really great too.

Yep, it´s like the SeaQ-Bracelet and bot are a real(!) pain in the ass to shorten ;-)
But if you have mastered this, it wears really comfortable.

Jacobs is good too. This is the Flieger from Corriga - very expensive, but they have often discount week with 40% or even 50% discount.

I can only speak for the black and blue XVIII and they both on point. But afaik all colors are good on both models.

Thanks - wow they do look lovely, and i notice they seem to be modeled on the titanium case on their website - makes it look so good! Back to the drawing board with my decision making, i think ill let it sit for a while but thanks everyone for the help.

depends what color you want, I personally prefer the mark XVII and I will outline why.

When it comes to the black especially I like the Mark 18 much better, because if the black date wheel which they have made white all all mark XX's now.. Also they have made the lume tabs on the Mark XX larger at 3, 6 , 9 which has pushed the numerals all more towards the center, making it more bunched up, as opposed to the Mark XVII the numbers are all closer to the edge leaving the center space more open and clean which I prefer.

If you want green you have no choice, only available on XX, if you want blue of black you can pick. I got the black XVII which I much prefer to the XX. Also pointed out the XX wears slightly smaller, I have large wrists so its not an issue for me.

Image below shows the dial difference, I prefer the cleaner spaced out dial of Mark XVII

I have V7F Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince with a2892 and I love that watch.
Sunburst blue is very nice in sunshine and SS bracelet is made very well.
I ordered leather strap from Ali similar to gen and it looks solid.

I have the Le Petit 18 blue dial version from VSF on bracelet, SW300 version. Put it on croco strap, looks amazing. Went to IWC boutique to compare gen vs rep. Side by side and if you know where to look at - the subtle difference is there (crown, lugs, bracelet is the biggest difference probably). Otherwise you get 90% of the watch probably. Movement is super smooth, holds up time well.

I'm personally not a fan of the silver hands on the black dialed XX, so I'm sticking with the XVIIIs for the time being. I currently wear a Heritage XVIII almost daily. However, the fake patina lume isn't my favorite.

Hopefully IWC comes out with some variation of a titanium XX in the future with a black dial and hands (sans fake patina would be even better!). If they do, I won't hesitate to move into the XX, because the slightly narrower lug to lug is definitely a better fit for my wrist.
