Fantastic final, Football the winner once again. Barca Barca.

You're not wrong there mate (even with the Scottish slant ;)).

Barcelona deserve all the plaudits, they made Man Utd look less than ordinary.

Possibly the best team that ever graced the game.

Big win and I'm so happy Barca won with style. Manu's tactics were doomed to fail with Giggs and Carrick trying to contain our midfielders. The space from box to box was wide open and it allowed Xavi, Iniesta and Sergi (not tracked by Rooney) to dominate and play their triangles all night. The scoreline didn't even do the result justice.

Campeones!! Campeones!! Ole! Ole! Oleeee!

Chicharito and Park were asleep. Someone check on them and see if they woke up yet. It was a POOR showing by Man U. That reflects on the coaching. Besides Rooney, everyone on that team should be ashamed of themselves. I'll be flying to DC to watch their exhibition game here in the States. Hopefully it's a better result for us.

3-1 is humiliated ? Hardly for a Championship team, on it's 19th title. There's a saying in our country. That on "any given Sunday" , anyone can win. I tip my hat to Barç, as they were the better team. But humiliate ? Please. There's no shame in being the 2nd best team in UEFA. I'm not putting away my Red shirt anytime soon.

Hi....Gunner fan here

After Barca played exhibition footy against Arsenal in the 2nd CL leg after we beat them 2-1... I thought there was no way they could take it to a higher level.

Then I saw the CL final.

Just as a thought, I think a midfield of Fletcher,Park,Gibson might have done a better job. Not saying they would have won ManU the game, but they might have run Xavi and Iniesta ragged at least.

No idea why Berba didnt even make the bench and Owen did...

Looked to me like at 40 mins the only 4 guys who looked like they had any spirit left were Rooney,Park,Ferdinand and VDS

Apologies to any ManU fans...this coming from a gunner, but looks to me like the team selection was a bit off on the night...easy to say that in retrospect,of course

Fletcher wasn't fit. I don't really blame SAF tactically or team-selection-wise. He really didn't have the players to stop the barca midfield and decided to go with the team and the system that had gotten them to the final. In the end he asked too many players (Rooney, Giggs, Park) to do two jobs at once and it fell apart after 10 minutes. From there barca were constantly creating odd-man situations and Manu couldn't chase them down.

Its nice to see some "tipping of the cap" going on after the match. There were no ref controversies, fights, dives or play acting and it came down to the football. I have a great respect for the Manu players and SAF for playing the right way and then admitting they were beaten by a better team that day.

Why are you respecting Man U for that ? Isn't Barca the one who should be commended for not making a diving spectacle ? Are we forgetting who's who here ? Come on now.

The humilliation was not reflected in the score. If you watched the game, you have seen the humilliation. I don't know if therevis a phrase in English, but in Spanish, an more precisely in Argentinian, "les pegaron un baile" (something like the danced around Manchester). That happens when you let go players like Tevez.

Visca Barça, Visca Messi, Visca Argentina

Menuda paliza os hemos dado. It should have been 5-1. How is it possible to have almost 70% of ball posession? Where they playing against whom?
Barcelona is the No 1 and still has years to develop it's game.

Barca plays in Spain. Just because your player is on their team doesn't mean your country takes credit. Should Mexico take credit for Man U's 19th Championship ? Please. Give me a break.

Maybe I wasn't clear, or you misunderstood me. ManU could have come out and played negative football, parking the bus and trying to kick barca off the field in order to slow them down/disrupt their game ala Real Madrid. But no they had pride and came out to play the right way and were noble in defeat. To me thats something to be respected.

Barca have really gotten a bad rap over a bad semi vs. RM. I didn't like their play-acting anymore than anyone else but after the CDR where they got kicked off the field it was necessary to combat it anyway they could. If you watch Barca week in and week out you see that the stuff that happened those couple matches do not happen on a regular basis. 2 matches out of 50 do not make a trend, they just happened to be two high profile matches that lots of neutrals watched.

I'm so sorry for you!!! I'm happy because the best player in the world is from my country and I'm happy because his team gave a class of football.

Anyway, he's not the only Argentinian in that team (Mascherano is the other one). Beside this, Spain and Argentina are very close, not only for long term history, but because most of our actual population are one or two generations away from Spain and Italy.

For instance my grandmother was from Spain and the other one is from Italy.

For worst, the player with more goals this year in England is Argentinian too and for make it even worst, he plays for the City after being fired from the U. LOL

P.S.: If I have to wait until Argentina gives me something to celebrate, I will have to live 200 years, so I do what I can :)

I don't live vicariously through players. I root for teams, that I have been following since I was a kid. If you're from Spain, celebrate all you want. It's well deserved. I just don't understand others attaching themselves to it because the waterboy is from their country, or the guy who drives the bus is from my town...etc etc.
