I guess you're right. And $235 is a bit steep.
But would it be possible to fit the hands and dial from this:

If they're interchangeable, you'd get two nice looking watches for less than $200. I've tried sending an inquiry to Timesshop, but so far no reply.

Another solution would be to get the 328 PVD coated, but that seems like an expensive option.

I heard they had a failure rate of 4/5 when they were trying to grind the domed sapphire. I would love a sapphire for my 212I, I read a while back taka might make one?

I just finished sandblasting 212 and 286 yesterday. Will do my next run of watches next week so I will post a pictorial with them as soon as get them DLC'd and put together so you could see how these beauty look like in DLC shoes ...

Well, I can recommend this.

Get a 253 and get it DLC coated.

Not needed anymore, because we now have the 1950 chrono case in DLC out-of-the-box

-> H-factory PAM332


Buying this and disassemble for any project is cheaper than a custom dlc-job... :lolcina:
